Acetyl L-Carnitine

Acetyl l-carnitineL-Carnitine is an amino acid which is used in the body for many functions like energy production, cardiovascular function and even the production of testosterone. Most importantly it is used by regularly by athletes and you're everyday gym goers as a non-stimulant form of fat loss. In Need2Slin we use an acetylated form of this amino acid which means it is more absorbable than conventional L-Carnitine. This is because Acetyl-L-Carnitine is hydrolyzed which makes it more apt to be absorbed by blood cells which means it can also cross the blood-brain barrier and improve moods. It doesn't end there, the effects of supplementing this powerful amino can be seen all throughout the body.

As with many ingredients in N2Slin, Acetyl-L-Carnitine is used and is constantly experimented with as an over the counter medication for Diabetes. In a study done by a variety of scientists including, Fernandez IC, Del Carmen Camberos M, Passicot GA, Martucci LC, and Cresto, related to children developing Type 1 Diabetes, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, was administered and was an effective treatment in lowering the overall blood sugar. While this is fantastic news for diabetics, we are here to talk about bodybuilding and making sure our body fat percentages are as low as possible and we all know maintaining healthy levels of blood sugar is an important aspect of that. When people's bodies have blood sugar levels that are constantly fluctuating their body fat levels tend to be higher. This isn't the only negative effect that comes with failing to control blood sugar levels, you will have more urges to eat sugary and thus fattening foods. Bringing this type of behavior full circle, fluctuating blood sugar will put you at a higher risk to developing these dangerous diseases. Additionally in a study done by the Department of Applied Health Sciences, Section of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Medicine, University of Pavia, they found that the supplementation of L-Carnitine was effective in improving insulin resistance and thus the conditions of obesity in humans. You might be saying, what is insulin resistance, and how does it affect obesity? Insulin resistance comes from the body not being able to use insulin anymore and not being able to benefit from its effects. Namely removing sugar from the blood and pushing into muscle cells to be used as energy and to repair. With all of this excessive sugar floating around in the blood the body is forced to store them in fat cells causing them to swell and enlarge. Even worse, this is one of the beginning stages of Type 2 Diabetes.

However, blood sugar management is not the only way that Acetyl-L-Carnitine can burn fat. Carnitine is the amino acid responsible for mobilizing fat in order for it be used for energy. So, in supplementing this amino acid in combination with diet and exercise your body will burn more fat because it is functioning to use that fat for energy more efficiently. The process of loading muscles with Carnitine will also raise energy levels due to the mobilization of fat cells. In a study by the Department of Physiology by Texas A&M Univerisity, they proved that while taking L-Carnitine, animals that were fed high fat diets actually withstood weight gain and kept the liver functioning to keep fat mobile as well.

As a preventative measure, Acetyl-L-Carnitine supplementation should now seem like a no-brainer to add to your supplement stack. Well, Need2BuildMuscle has all of that covered for you. We put these great ingredients into one of our premier supplements we believe everyone should try.
