Daily Protein Intake Explained

Q: How Much Protein Should I Take In Every Day?

It’s one of the biggest misconceptions in bodybuilding. How much protein do you need? But it’s the wrong question.

How much protein you need to build muscle has nothing to do with how much protein you are able to absorb. Over 90% of the protein you eat does not get absorbed! Some will provide nourishment and be used for the function necessity like sustaining life, then the rest will be eliminated as waste.

At a cellular level, you may need only an extra 20 grams of protein per day to put on sufficient added muscle, but simply eating an extra 20 grams won’t do it. You’d be lucky if a single gram of those additional 20 grams you ingested actually entered your muscles. So, what can be done to make sure there’s always an available supply of amino acids in order to build more muscle tissue? The answer is the timing of the nutrients. And by that, I don’t mean a time of day or a period where the muscles are more likely to absorb the aminos. It means a steady and consistent flow of protein as often as possible!

Now this may sound like it’ll be necessary to eat all day long. Well…that’s a procedure that’s been done. And it works. However, that’s the old way of doing things – eat big to get big - and get fat in the process! Now, there’s a better way.

By adding amino acids in small amounts throughout the day, you keep a constant flow of nitrogen going through the small intestines allowing for constant intake of muscle building blocks at all times. The best and most convenient way to accomplish this is with amino acid capsules. You may think they don’t provide a lot of protein, but that leads back to the original point I made in the article: you don’t really need more protein, you need it on a more consistent basis.

Any amino acid pill will be better than none but nothing is better than GEAR from N2BM.com. It contains super plasma serum which is the highest grade of protein on the planet; in fact, it's stronger than any supplement or any food source. Super plasma protein has been shown to increase the size of muscle tissue at a 25% greater rate than either meat, whey, soy, fish, chicken, milk or egg protein.

GEAR also has fractioned protein, so it is better dispersed. It has hydrolyzed protein which needs no digestion, so it’s instantly assimilated. In addition, it has BCAA’s high in leucine as well as Aminogen to make it all more potent. GEAR is one kick ass blast of amino acid power!

If you’re as much of a geek as I am about this stuff, here’s a study done on super plasma serum. This isn’t supplement hype, it’s an unbiased scientific study that shows how amazing this stuff really is, and it’s only in GEAR.
