^^This. I can personally attest that fasting takes some getting used to and even then I still get some side effects from low blood sugar if I wait a little too long to break my fast. Also, I always go high carb on the days that I fast because I'm not taking in any carbohydrates in the in between...
It takes 6-8 weeks for one to peak concerning your aerobic system and it's much easier to lose gains made with cardio compared to strength so.....I would say a 12 week trial would be the most beneficial for anecdotal evidence and like others have mentioned not everyone is going to respond...
