Indole-3-carbinol

Indole-3-carbinol is a substance that is produced by the breakdown of glucosinolate glucobrassicin, which is found in liberal amounts in cruciferous vegetables; such as broccoli, cabbage, and collard greens. It is also produced in labs for use in supplements, and it has amazing health benefits. Ongoing research with Indole has shown it to have anti-carcinogenic, antioxidant, and anti-atherogenic effects. Indole is part of the reason why green vegetables are so healthy and why those that consume them generally have less health issues than those who do not.

Cancer

The National Institute of Health has reviewed Indole-3-carbinol as a compound that helps protect against breast, colon, and other cancers. It also is used for tumors and abnormal cell growth. In fact, it has many more anti-oxidant properties than most enzymes founds in greens.

Organ Health and Oral Steroids

Indole is used in eastern medicine to balance out hormones in the body and also to aid with intestine and liver health. For those who use oral anabolic steroids which are 17 alkylated, liver damage is a real issue. Oral steroids will travel through the liver straining the organ, and, in some cases, causing damage. The user might notice dark urine, yellow skin/eyes, and other jaundice type symptoms. If you want to avoid liver issues, Indole-3-carbinol and N2Guard is a must during your cycles, as it will help cleanse and detox the liver while on cycle.

Use on cycle

Because of Indole's ability to detox the organs, we know it works great during your cycle. In fact, its ability to balance out hormones while using anabolic steroids might be even more important. Indole acts just like SERMs, such as clomid or nolvadex, blocking excessive estrogen from reaching the pituitary glands while on cycle. This allows the user to avoid the dreaded water retention on cycle. Water retention can cause side effects such as insomnia, high blood pressure, and looking bloated. Research has shown it actually blocks estrogen receptors on cells to act like a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). In addition, it will promote the metabolism of estrogen in the liver leading to quicker elimination of those cells. Its ability to detoxify cannot be stressed enough while running any sort of steroid cycle oral or injectable.

Use during Post Cycle Therapy (PCT)

When you stop using anabolic steroids, your HPTA stays suppressed. As a result, you will be left depressed, moody, and lacking motivation due to the increase in estrogen and lowering of your testosterone. This is why steroid users use a post cycle therapy (PCT) to help them get through this stage and on the road to recovery. Indole-3 will help your body balance out your estrogen and testosterone hormones quick, which will help you avoid the roller coaster of emotions many guys complain about.

Supplementation

Many companies out there sell Indole-3-carbinol as a supplement; however, many times they are woefully under-dosed or do not contain what is promised on the label. Hence, it is important you buy a supplement by a proven company with many years in the industry. One such company is N2BM, which makes HCGenerate ES (ES stands for extra strength). Each serving contains a whopping 200mg's of Indole-3. Hcgenerate ES also contains many other ingredients to help you stay healthy during cycle, and help you detoxify and recover during your post cycle. I highly recommend you use Indole-3-carbinol if you use anabolic steroids.
