It's not a fear. I just don't like to waste good gear, as you have opened many amps with no trouble I have opened MANY vials and have had no trouble. However if that device is inexpensive it might b a consideration for me.you should post the site you got that at. Seems people are too scared to open amps with their bare hands these days.

who has trouble with vials? You flip the cap and it's done! No glass breaking involved.
You do have a fear. A fear of wasting gear because you think the amp will shatter.
The amp opener I think is pretty cheap. It can't be that much for what it is.
Hell, after watching that video and seeing how easy it is to use I may just buy one!
