    Anastrozole and bone health

Are AIís such as anastrozole bad for your bone health? Iíve been on estrogen blockers since 2017, I was on clomid for 6 months which was hell then started trt shortly after and have been on Anastrozole for 3 years to combat the High estrogen From The test. My estrogen has always been very low (around 10pg/ml) since starting estrogen blockers due to doctors misinforming me how important estrogen actually is. My joints would always ache I felt like shit 24/7 despite my high testosterone and could barley build muscle. Once when I stopped taking anastrozole my estrogen spiked up to the very high end of ďnormalĒbut I felt great and was able to put on size and actually see results in the gym. I wish I would have found this out earlier because I honestly donít even need an AI, I was always trying to chase a number when Really the only thing that matters is how you feel. The only time I use an ai Anymore is if Iím upping my dose or adding in a compound. So my questions are,
    1. Are AIís bad for your bones?
    2. Is it possible I caused damage to my bones from my constant use of anastrozole/ having suppressed estrogen levels combatted with high test for 3 years.

If you overuse AIs it can be a bad thing yes. Estrogen needs controlled, not crushed

AI's are bad for you, and aren't great for women's bones. Its complicated but I wouldn't think that they would have a huge impact on male bone health. The human body is extremely resilient, and it is actually pretty hard to do permanent damage to it. You should be okay.

never blindly follow what a doctor tells you

if you were on proper TRT you have zero reason for needing an AI in the first place. this doctor was just trying to over medicate you

Light and occasional use of AIs such as when on a cycle should present no issues whatsoever. As stevesmi said though, TRT should be dosed at levels to match natural testosterone production levels, and this should not require an AI.

Same as Stvesmi said, if you where running your TRT the right way with the proper dose then you shouldn't need an AI for it. AI's don't present any problems if used when needed such as during a cycle

It's not so much the ai, but overuse of ai and long term tanked estrogen as a side effect that would then lead to bone health problems.
But that's only a side of tanking estrogen over the very long term.
I think u could use an ai safely for life as long as it isn't tanking estrogen.

3 years, I'm sure you're prob fine now Ur body and bones are being fed estrogen again.
