There are articles on making money from our sport (easy to find). You do NOT need to be a pro but equally getting paid to train people is being a PT and not what we imagine being a professional bodybuilder or strength athlete is.
The truth is it's NOT easy money. You have to work hard. It's not instant extra cash. Here's a few ideas.
Prepping others inc pros. I know the amounts vary but here it's easily £700/$1000 to work up a 16 week show prep. That can and often does include video calls and a couple of in person check ups.
Diets: £100 a pop. The initial stuff is easy money it's the updates, changes and tweaks which make it work.
Online training: I just wrote one up recently and keep in touch. 8 weeks for which I got £150 / $200
Seminars: I gotta be honest (I've done them) it suits some people and others are crap. If you're any good at it and don't even have to have a world class physique you can earn £500-£1000. If you DO look amazing and are good at it it can be, at the top level EVERY weekend $10000
Expos. All expenses covered but a LONG day to earn the wage. If you're under contract this is often written in so you'll earn NOTHING but pocket money. I wouldn't pay you a six figure contract ($100k) AND money on top. I'd be all exs inc and at least £100-150 a day. I like doing them so it's fun for me.
Appearances (like 4 hours at a supplement shop etc): No posing usually - or with clothing on. Similar to expos. If it's for a company you're under contract to - exs only. If it's the other kind $500 to meet and greet.
Signed pics and the like: minimum £10/$15. Up to you on clothing. Books 100% or more markup.
What you'll also see is guys that were only top 100 level pros become a brand. So the clothing becomes a brand beyond them over which they retained ownership. Ditto getting more money if they have a successful supplement line THEY put out themselves.
Truth is the hardest workers + great genetics make the most money = Jay Cutler.
On the supps - get your product into supermarkets... supplement shops and online is fine but once you're on the shelves in Walmart, Target and the like - it's MILLIONS of sales every fkin week. By way of example the famous Golds Gym shirt nearly made as much money as the gyms did at one point. They were in Macey's
