Is benzyl benzoate necessary when brewing and what is the use. I see it's used to fight hypogonadism?

Ba is to keep sterile .

BB is needed in all brewing, it's needing to keep a stable solution.

I would never home brew due to the risks and the fact that gear is actually pretty cheap. But check out the home brew thread that was linked above for much more detail.
