Cramping no matter what !?

I'm completely frustrated by this problem. For years, literally, my lower quads (vastus lateralis) just lock up almost every time i attempt cardio. I've tried drinking a gallon of water a day, i've tried slow warmups followed by stretching, and now i'm taking an electrolyte supplement prior to cardio and nothing is helping. Treadmill, bike, stepper, it doesn't matter. Within ten minutes or so, i cramp up. Has anyone else had a problem similar, or can anyone think of anything i've missed here?

Are you using steroids?

I honestly have no idea. Have you ever got that area massaged or showed it for a physician or any other expert?

stop doing 'cardio' in the gym

go run on grass barefoot and learn proper running technique. the treadmill is improper.. every strike is incorrect on a treadmill. that is why you are cramping everytime.

are you getting in enough potassium? i understand you are taking an electrolyte pill but you should still be getting food sources as well... calcium, magnesium are also very important when it comes to cramping
