It isn't your imagination your workouts fly by as you get older

have you noticed as you get older that an hour workout flies by much faster then it did when you were in your teens or 20's? well that isn't your imagination, that is actually very true.

think about it this way. do you remember a movie you saw as a kid or a sporting event. in my case I remember going to see Jurassic Park as a teen, damn did that movie last a long time. however if i watch it now as an adult it doesn't seem as long. same things with your workouts. when i was in high school my 70 minute PE class where i lifted 35 minutes and jogged 35 minutes seemed like forever. now i go to the gym for 70 minutes and it flies by

so what does the science say on why this happens?

as you get older the rate that neurons fire off in your brain decrease. so our internal clocks slow down, which makes external time speed up

another factual thing is when you experience things you enjoy, in this case the gym, you won't notice the time is passing because when your brain is so focused on something

yet another is repetition, when you workout daily after work or before work day in and day out it on a set schedule will seem like your workouts are fast.

on the flip side doing something you fear may make it seem like time is taking forever. this would explain on days where you are fearful at the gym of maybe doing a lift you aren't confident in. powerlifters who fail on heavy 1-2 rep lifts may experience a longer workout in their mind then a bodybuilder just doing a tempo workout at 40% at 8 reps for example. or what if you are fearful that people at the gym are gonna make fun of you for looking stupid or not working out correctly

another way a workout may seem longer is if you are bored. "time flies when you are having fun" right?

the point of this post is it explains why so many people quit on the gym. they just aren't making it fun, they are fearful, and they aren't structuring their workouts in a disciplined way

if you are the type of person who spends an hour at the gym and it seems like 30 minutes then congrats, you are really having a great time working out. and if it seems like you are just aren't putting in the time anymore don't worry. you are! it just doesn't seem like it.

now combine steroids to the equation. could using certain steroids like trenbolone further speed the way our brains percieve time? my theory is YES. because the way tren effects neurotransmitters in the brain. with that have you noticed that your workotus with tren are even faster when they are the same time?

    I've seen it argued thus.

If you're ten and something takes a year that's 1/10th of your life. For me it's 1/57th.

Given that I can't stay strong as I am forever I also take the view now that every workout missed is a chance missed
