It will work in the short term, but it is unhealthy in the long term. I prefer a more sustainable diet myself.

nice on the zphc! my favorite brand...

im not a big fan of keto... i never feel its wise to completely cut out such an important macro like carbs... your body is not meant to just deprive it completely like that and i know some people have done well with it , but its just not something thats healthy long term in my view... some do disagree but thats how i feel..

there is no such thing as keto diet especially the way it is presented on social media atleast. the only way to get into ketosis is water fasting. that is it

the premise behind keto dieting is high fat foods do not illicit insulin spikes. this is correct and a great way to eat in today's world of obesity and too much food. in fact i a promoter of high NATURAL fat diets. i'm talking unrefined coconut oil, avocado, FATTY cuts of meat, raw nuts, pastured eggs etc. however what is promoted as keto diet that you see out there (eating at chipotle, high meat diet (muscle parts of animals, lean meats, etc, and thking you can get a big mac from mcdonalds and take off the bun) is 100% incorrect

keto diet can be a great diet, just don't follow what people are saying is considered keto. it is absurd as paleo diet pushers claiming that wine and chipotle is paleo. they took a great diet and ruined it on ignorance

i am a promoter of a natural organic whole food diet. this means nuts, fruit, veggies, fatty meats. eating in a 0-4 hour window. no more than 3 total meals a day, preferably 0-2. THAT is how you should be eating. and drink good quality spring water. that is it.

Also Steve its funny I have a buddy who everytime he tries to lose weight for the summer turns to atkins/keto and he thinks eating 8 full fat hot dogs is good for you LOL. He also literally does the same as you mentioned above. With order a fatty greasy burger with no buns like WTF? Crazy.....and he wonders why hes still fat.

These are all good in moderation, sat far has its place, but arenít you concerned with these foods high in saturated fats which in turn could raise LDL? Itís my understanding those using AAS are already at risk of increased LDL and reduction of HDL should refrain from ingestion too much sat fat, no?

Itís because he listens to those douches on Instagram who say a hot dog is keto

Even eating lettuce will kick a person out of keto. So imagine a processed hot dog

Everyone should read a good nutrition book to understand how different foods partition differently and stop getting their info from Instagram fitness celebrities lol

That is an absolute myth. Natural fats will help with cholesterol and boost heart health. People in blue zones have zero issues with obesity, diabetes, heart etc and eat high fat natural diets. Americans get little to no good fats in their diets and have horrible health. Honestly most people on this forum actually get literally zero good fats. But get a ton of sugar. They been attacking fat for years to steer people to sugar. Hard for me to fight billions from food companies but I try my best on here

Okay so check this out guys and see if this makes sense. If it doesnít then log off this forum and go read a nutrition book. I can suggest Jason fung his books are excellent

A spoonful of unrefined coconut oil has 130 calories. Out of that 130 100% of it are pure fat. Now if you take a spoonful of it you are getting pure fat right? That 130 calories will NOT cause an insulin spike in the body. Meaning you wonít store fat. You wonít increase insulin resistance. And you wonít attract disease. Same thing with meat. Eat the fat or bone marrow it will partition different than eating the muscle part of the animal.

Now the macro and calorie counters wonít like this but it is the truth. This is why natural fats are great and why counting macros and calories is so woefully counter productive.
