the podcast happened regardless, I want people to know the truth and bring forth the science, data, and anectodal information. Nelson did not show up which is fine. we did the podcast without him and it will be published soon and everyone is happy.

I am dubbing this "Fasting podcast-gate". in the end as long as the information is put out there then everyone wins, that is all i care about.

Yep, I backed out for the simple reason that it was pointless. It already became a war of cut and paste studies. The funniest was the one from the Nobel prize winner which had absolutely nothing to do with the supposed benefits of fasting, no less the detrimental effects in regard to building muscle -- but it didn't matter. Because nobody reads them no less understands them. So I wanted to part of being involved in a discussion where the topic couldn't be properly discussed. It already turned into a bitch fest on the board.

That's why as a courtesy to the members I wrote a full detailed in-depth explanation of the principles of the topic and only a handful of people read it. Because, let's face it...most message boards are about being in a clique, bro science and bullshit high school posturing like the kind exhibited in the first post here.

I tried to help. But apparently, most people here already know everything. And besides, I've only been in the industry longer than most people here have been alive, been published in most of the bodybuilding magazines, dealt with many of the major pro competitors, wrote two books so how can I know as much as a message board guru?

And not for nothin.' The pic in my atavar is from just a couple of years ago. And I'd say I look at least as good as most anyone here. But I'm old, so it doesn't count. i get it. And I accept it. And it may or may not surprise anyone that I couldn't give a rat's nutsack what you think.

I don’t have a dog in this fight. Just mentioning that this is the Internet. How else do we provide supporting sources to back up our claims? By copying and pasting links with evidence supporting studies.
