I was hoping to have an interesting debate regarding fasting. I'm against it and I was ready to explain my rationale. And sure, i used a provocative thread to get attention. It worked!
Sadly, it degraded into being insulted, disparaged and disrespected. Which is fine. I'm used to it. People can't stand being proven wrong and I've proven a lot of people wrong. But what's even worse, it became apparent that it was going to become another boring "I HAVE STUDIES" argument. Man, I hate that shit. Studies are refuted, discredited and debunked all the time and I don't think anyone wants to hear a five page study read on air to check on its credibility and it's interpretation. But alas...that's the message board mentality.
So in an effort to avoid any further nonsense, here ya go. Plenty of studies that support my point of view. And they're still missing a few things. But it goes to show that the consensus is not unanimous.

That's for starters. There's more, but you don't need me for that. I do have a bodybuilding perspective that isn't addressed in any of these studies. My point is, can we stop with the notion that just because somebody else published something that it holds a special credence.
This is a topic that can be viewed in a lot of ways. I have mine. Others have theres. I was willing to present that. (And I will, with my article) But I'm tired of having to defend myself from the very people I'm trying to help.
