Newbie here.. first time user so looking for some advice
Stats: 45 yrs old, 5’7 160 lbs.. I’ve been an avid lifter for years and eat pretty clean staying lean throughout the year. Looking to add some lean muscle and strength, improve overall. I’m thinking of running 400mg per week of Test cyp (200mg x 2 per week) with Arimidex as AI .5mg ED (half 1 mg tab) then of course PCT after.

Being first time i want to keep it simple. Does this sound like i’d Get some desired results? Is 8 weeks long enough or need longer cycle? Oh and plan on buying from PSL if that is a legit source.

Any suggestions?

Although you should run it for either ten of twelve weeks, and I will recommend the use of aromasin rather than arimidex, yes, that is an excellent first cycle. What is your PCT plan? And what is your current percentage of body fat?

BF is about 12%... I haven’t check lately, its winter lol oh and PCT undecided but I’ve seen a few suggestions in here about perfect PCT.
 
Maybe Clomid 50/50/50/25 & Nolva 40/20/20/20 ... still researching that part. Suggestions?

I will suggest that you run 25mg of clomid during the third week, but, other than that, you nailed it, bro!

Too, I will also urge you to resist those who may attempt to convince you of your "need" to purchase certain "alternative" PCT compounds which are ungodly expensive and, in my opinion, of questionable efficacy.

Finally, you do know to take aromasin EOD from the beginning of the cycle until the end of PCT, right?

BUT, the aromasin i was going to order is a 20mg tab, so was gonna take half (10mg) EOD... is that sufficient?

Unless you are especially susceptible to aromatization, yes, 10mg per day will be fine.
 
i for one would not recommend using only nolva and clomid for pct by themselves... thats not a complete pct and you are not addressing all the other issues that can occur during pct, which are most certainly there and the reason many people complain about pct, not recovering, struggling etc. is that they DO NOT address all the problems that occur during pct... jumpstarting test production is obviously the main purpose of pct but definitely not the entire part of it and not addressing ALL the issues will result in delayed recovery and loss of gains that could have been more keepable...

PCT is all about getting a soft landing vs. hard landing

it DOES NOT 'restart your HPTA' or whatever bro science you hear. ONLY your own body can heal itself, you can't just throw a bunch of clomid and nolva at the problem .. imagine if that was true, then all these kids wouldn't be going on TRT in their 20's and 30's from steroid abuse. they could just run some SERM's and be cured

After your last pin you wait 2 weeks before running the clomid/nolva but you keep taking your AI (aromasin at the same dose of 10mg EOD as eddie suggested).

PSL is good to go. Also if you look at stevesmi's signature he has a link for privateMD which will do bloodwork for you. I would suggest getting bloodwork done around week 5-6 to see where your estrogen levels are along with test levels. This will dictate if you need to adjust your AI (aromasin) dosage.

400mg/week is a good cycle. I ran 500mg/week but ramped up from a lower level and I liked the looks/feel when i was running 375mg/week stand alone test cyp cycle over the 500mg /week as I retained more water and the strength gains were not that much better.

More doesn't always equal better results.
 
Hey Eddie, so today I did my first pin. Super excited to get started. I am using a 27 gauge, 1 1/2" pin in my glute and it literally took me 5 mins for 1cc. Really took my time. I am noticing that my glute is pretty sore, like someone gave me a dead leg in my ass, lol.. is that to be expected?

So I use 22 gauge 1.5" pins for my injections.

The reason it takes so long is that the oil is very thick and you are trying to push it through narrow pin.

Your glute will be sore for a few days. Its a virgin muscle you just pinned for the first time so 2-3 days is normal as long as it doesnt get warm to the touch (meaning infection) it will go away.

You do not need to pin slower. If you like the thinner needles then do exactly what you are doing. If you want to inject faster get 18 gauge to draw with and 22 gauge to inject.

I normally inject 1-2CC in about 45 seconds for what its worth.

As awm indicated, Red, a 27g needle is too small for much of anything over 100mg. So go with either a 22g or a 23g (I happen to use a 23 for everything.)
And yes, five minutes per a cc of oil is fine. The only thing that matters, though, is whether or not you're bruising a lot of tissue, which is measured by how much PIP you experience. I inject so very slowly that I very seldom endure any amount of PIP even when I target the same body part on a regular basis.
So find the "injection time" that works best for you and then, well, just rock on from there! :-)

I am on week 8 of my 12 week cycle and feeling pretty great! Last week (week 7) is when I really started seeing a difference in my body composition and feeling a big difference in the gym. My weights are increasing and I’m able to push harder and bang out more reps. Muscles are growing!
As far as my body reacting to the test cyp, once in a while I feel like i get hot flashes and have developed a little bit of acne but nothing too hideous. I’m definitely lean and mean!!

I am going to ride it out for the 12 weeks at the 400mg per week, but my question is, if I taper down to 200 mg at week 13, and push it for another few weeks, is that beneficial? Has anyone done that before? I’ve read there are guys that do 200mg or so per week as a test replacement therapy so wondering if it would be safe for me to do or should i come off it completely after week 12? What’s a good “Rest” period to take post cycle before starting another?

There is no benefit to tapering off and extending the cycle.

Your body is suppressed so all you are doing is suppressing it for longer while decreasing the dose so zero real benefit in my opinion.
