I apologize right now for the long post. They will get much shorter after this intro to my log.

Ok. This is my first log. This is about my journey from being morbidly obese at 416 pounds and taking back my life on a journey to physical fitness and now into bodybuilding. I don’t currently have plans for ever competing, so this is more about lifestyle bodybuilding at this point in the journey. Will it ever be more? At my age, I would say not likely, but I never say never anymore to things I thought were impossible. I want to give you a little backstory so you can understand where I’ve come from and then maybe understand more about where I am trying to be. Up until January of 2023, I had reached up to my highest weight of 416 pounds. Basically, I was told by my doctor that I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, raging diabetes, and my labs showed that all of my organs were struggling and that in the near future would be dealing with life threatening emergencies and he would be surprised if I had 10 years left in me and that the quality of my life would drastically be reduced within 5 years. I had a new grandson and I decided on that day that I was going to live to see him grow up and have children. That day changed the trajectory of my life. My wife and I were both morbidly obese and she decided to come along beside me on this journey. Now fast forward. Since then I got to as low as 198 pounds and am hovering around the 200 pound mark since then. A total of over 218 pounds lost. The before pics you see are at 416. The after, at 198 pounds.

At the beginning of January, my wife and I reached out to our current coach and he graciously agreed to take a chance on both of us and coach us since we had reached a point where we needed additional guidance to reach our changing goals. Since then the transformation for both of us has been nothing short of amazing.

I don’t like pics that show the loose skin I still have, but I will post some showing my recent check-in pics to show my progress since we started training with Coach. I know that sometimes feedback can be critical and hard to hear. But at this point, it is what it is. I’m just working my ass off to continue to transform into the man I want to be. I just can’t thank Coach enough for the excellent coaching and guidance he has given me and my wife. The future is looking brighter for both of us.

So since January, I have been in a pretty hard cut. Initially we were preparing for skin removal surgery and getting as lean as possible for that and also for prepping my body for a growth phase. Surgery got postponed, so coach agreed it was time to start the growth phase. This is the beginning of my log. I will log the progress being made since the end of my cut. I started reversing out of the cut the first week of June and moving froward, balls to the wall, with the plan to pack on as much lean muscle mass as possible. This will. It be a dirty bulk. The plan is to stay lean and add quality muscle mass.

My plan is to post updates weekly at least 3-5 times a week and sometimes daily when time allows. My current macros are as follows:

Training Days

Protein: 250g
Carbs: 295g
Fat: 50g
Calories: 2,630

Rest Days

Protein: 250g
Carbs: 225g
Fat: 50g
Calories: 2,350

My training plan is UL/PPL. I train 5 days a week as follows:

Monday: Upper
Tuesday: Lower (Legs A - Quad Focused)
Wednesday: Rest Day
Thursday: Push
Friday: Pull
Saturday: Lower (Legs B - Hamstring Focused)
Sunday: Rest Day

My wife and I train at 3am fasted. So I will start posting the workouts and other pertinent information probably starting tomorrow sometime or whenever I’m able to after my log is approved on here. I’m new to logging, so bear with me while I figure this out.

I want to thank, in particular, my coach and @~Vision~ for their advice, guidance, coaching, and answering the millions of questions I always have. Their support in this is priceless and I wouldn’t be where I am right now without their support.

More later, my new Evolutionary friends. I’m excited to start this part of the journey and see just what a nearly 56 year old former fatty can do! This will be epic as far as I’m concerned. 💪🏻

Gentlemen, let’s get one thing straight: I have high standards, but I’m going to lower the bar just this once to introduce you to a truly remarkable individual. This isn’t just any friend; this is a personal confidant of mine. I know him from our various communities, but more importantly, I know him in real life. They simply don’t make people like him anymore. He’s one of the kindest and most genuine souls you’ll ever encounter—he’d literally give you the shirt off his back, and I’m not exaggerating.

Now, I often witness the chaos and drama that unfolds in our communities, with people acting like they’ve lost their minds. But this gentleman? He’s the epitome of class. It’s been nothing short of an honor to have him in my life.

So, let’s roll out the red carpet, shall we? Please welcome him as if he’s an extension of me—because he is. Trust me, you’re going to love him. He’s a conservative with PEDS, much like myself, and he’s all about putting in the effort. So, let’s show him the warmth and respect he deserves!

@BigD9795 i would have loved to follow your transformation log from before. that is quite a remarkable change.
you literally saved your life

Honestly, I wish I had logged from the beginning. I felt like I had so much to prove to myself and honestly wasn’t sure I’d follow through like I should when I got started. But everything has changed. My love for training the most important piece. ❤️

Good morning!

Reverse-Out Push Day

Team PSL!!! Let’s go!

Workout was brutal in some ways but CRAZY GOOD! Had FST7 Intensifiers on Lat Raises and Chest Fly’s. COOKED! I’ve been paying attention to my coach and checking my ego at the door. I’m always trying to either increase reps or weight or both. Lately, I know that I’m trying to increase weight too fast that my lifting tempo and firm has suffered a bit. So I’ve backed off increasing the weight too fast. Lowered the weights some and hyper focused on lifting form, tempo, and intensity. About a 2 second concentric, pause, then 2-3 second eccentric. I can tell such a difference in doing this. Definitely the approach I need to take before moving up in weight too fast.

This AM’s Fasted Weight: 201.3

Cable Lateral Raises
4x14x20
+ FST7 Reps

Hammer Strength ISO Lateral Incline Bench Press
(Plate Loaded)
3x12x65

Dumbbell Bench Press
3x12x60

Standing Cable Chest Fly’s
2x14x47
+ FST7 Reps

Reverse Cable Fly’s
3x18x17

Wide Grip Standing EZ Bar Upright Rows
2x11x85

Overhead Triceps Cable Extensions
3x13x60

30% Imcline EZ Bar French Press
2x13x60

Abs: Flutter Kicks
4x20

Post Workout Cardio: Elliptical
30 min. + 2 min. Cool Down

Here are a couple pics with a decent pump. 😁

Make it a GREAT day! Go throw some weights around!!!

I workout fasted and my last meal is around 5pm every day. My next meal is the next morning ing post workout at around 7:30-8:00am. So usually around 15-16 hour fast. Each training day.
i'm not a huge fasting expert. i know other guys on here like steve know way more obviously. but seems like you gotta fast minimum 20-24 hours to start getting those skin cell autophagy

A couple of reasons. I spend about 20 minutes stretching and mobility exercises to get warmed up. And then my workout usually runs around 1-1.5 hours depending on the day. Then I do a minimum of 30 minutes post workout cardio. Then I like to go to the sauna for about 20 minutes or so. This gets me home in time to have breakfast and get ready to go to work. That, and I don’t t have to deal with competition for the equipment I want to use. It’s a win win for me. I’m usually in bed by 6:30pm or so on nights before training. It’s just what works for me.

My diet before was ANYTHING GOES. My focus was making sure the next meal was as tasty and filling as possible. It was total lack of discipline and I was eating/snacking all the time. Especially late at night. It was a gluttonous lifestyle with zero boundaries. A slow death. Everything I ate was full of calories and fat. To the extreme in most cases. I drank probably 3000 calories a day of Pepsi and other sodas. It was pathetic. Shameful.

More later, my new Evolutionary friends. I’m excited to start this part of the journey and see just what a nearly 56 year old former fatty can do! This will be epic as far as I’m concerned. 💪🏻
@BigD9795 Great start bro.....looking forward to awesome updates...........

I have 7 different smokers. But my work horses are my Yoder Smokers. They are pellet grills. Expensive, yes, but will last forever. Heavy duty.

Today was a Rest Day

Today was a good day. Good recovery time. Took it easy. Took a nap. Going to bed on time. 💪

Today is the last day of my Reverse Out. Check-in went well and it is now time to go all out balls to the wall and have some fun.

Cycle for now is as follows:

500 Test E per week
350 Primo E per week
2iu HGH ED 30 min. Prior to bed time
No AI

I will be injecting EOD to keep serum levels nice and steady and injection volume more reasonable.

Tomorrow is Day 1 of my Epic Comeback Cycle. Coach has a great cycle planned out and I will be in full on GO mode for this part of the journey starting tomorrow.

Also, for those that didn’t know, Purity Source Labs (PSL) has allowed me to join their team as a Sponsored Athlete. I am excited to be a part of their team and have the best coaching and great support from a long time trusted source. Thank you to my coach, @~Vision~ , the PSL Team, and EP for making all of this possible. Your support and encouragement as well as that of this community have been a huge blessing to me. Time to get back to work!

Now LFG!!!!!

I’m not a very high converter to E2 normally. So the thought process is to see where we are in 4 -6 weeks and if the Primo will be able to help keep the E2 in check. Monitor for any symptoms until then and adjust if necessary. If E2 becomes an issue I’ll talk to Coach about adding Mast Possibly. My E2 at the moment is 42 at 160mg per week with no AI. I handle higher E2 very well with no g to symptoms. Or at least when it has been as high as. 109 on my last blast of 400 test and 320 Mast. So we will see how it goes.

Yeah. I’m highly motivated. Pushed a little too hard on my sketchy shoulders yesterday. Left one is pretty sore today. But today was leg day and tomorrow is rest day. So I’m hoping the soreness goes away. I hate distractions. The left one is my “good” one. It’s screwed in just don’t have a diagnosis on it. I had a 60% year in my Supraspinatus tendon in my rotator cuff last year. Rehabbed it. I basically do rehab and mobility and stretching every day on both. I’ve learned to work around it.

Right now just some ice and stretching and mobility. It’s sore. But I think with some good sleep and my rest day tomorrow I might be good to go. I’ll know more this time tomorrow. If it doesn’t clear up, by tomorrow, I’ll be looking to get some BPC on board.

yeah when i first used steroids i was way more motivated on them

Rest Day

Had decent sleep last night. Just over 7 hours. Got up and went to the gym. Did some light stretching and mobility exercises. Especially on the shoulders. Left shoulder is feeling much better this morning. Thankful for that. Got on the treadmill and walked 3.25 miles. Got some good steps in. 8000 for the day so far but the day is still young. Should top well over 10k steps for the day. Plan is to take a nap or two and get some extra sleep and rest to get ready for Push day tomorrow. Will monitor how the site shoulder is feeling and modify training on them if needed. Don’t want to get derailed early in this blast. Want to push hard, but will need to stay smart at the same time. The long haul is where it’s at.

Good morning!

Push Day

Getting a late start to posting this today. Workout was good this morning. Left shoulder was sore and a bit weaker than normal, it made adjustments with the weight a little and pushed through. This afternoon feels ok. So I think by next week it should be back to normal. Get past Pull day tomorrow and I anticipate it will go well. Beyond that, the shoulder will get good rest going into next week. The cycle is starting to saturate well and I can tell the body is adjusting. But feeling better every day.

You are definitely looking trim as usual. Seems like you've lost a little bit of body fat since you started this log. So, you're already improving.@BigD9795

Keep an eye on that shoulder - it's too common an injury
For sure. I trashed them when I was playing football as a young man. I was an interior lineman. Brutal on the shoulders at times. Tire the right rotator cuff last year. 60% tear in the Supraspinatus tendon. Rehabbed it. But never the same. Always working around it. Rehabbing it. That’s ok. So far I’ve avoided surgery and that’s what I wanted to do. Gotta train!!!!

Pull Day

Things are going well. I’m starting to feel better and better every day as the cycle saturates more. Definitely feeling fuller and starting to notice visual changes as well. Weight is starting to trend up a little as expected. Great workout this morning. Left shoulder is feeling fine and the other one is barking at me a bit, but nothing too out of the ordinary.
