Veteran Log 2026 lifestyle and cycle log - Testosterone, Deca, Proviron Retatrutide

Thanks bro. Shoulder was ok until Monday when I tweaked it doing bench. Aggravated it a tad on Friday with narrow press for tri's. I was considering BP157 / tb500 if it continued to sort it out fast, but I have just jumped back on cycle and the Deca seems to be solving the problem. Full chest workout went off without a hitch. Deca did this last time as well 😁. No physio required brother 🩵
Awesome bro!

Sleep
A new section to my log because it really needs addressing. I will be taking a new Supplement recommended to me by @LevButlerov of Valerian Root and Magnesium. I have also implemented some pre-bed meditation and other ideas @Iron_rose1 wrote about on Jan 17. Would really like this to improve.

Overall Health and Well-being
I am feeling really good today. Shoulder was only mildly uncomfortable every now and then through the entire Chest routine today. Considering 2 day ago I curtailed a narrow bench exercise because of the same shoulder and the pain I felt this is a HUGE win. Deca is doing me a solid I believe.
As I outlined above my sleep pattern finally needs addressing properly. It has been awful for decades and will take time I know. But now there is no shift work, no flying God knows where for installs and decants, no job stress and absolutely no weekend work so it is time to sort this out.
Excited to be going on a week's holiday into Victoria and South Oz despite the heat that is predicted. I will be getting plenty of pics that I bleed out over several weeks 😁

I would go slow with that Valerian root bro. It messed up my sleep pretty bad taking a full dose right off the start. I think I had some kinda reaction too it. I'd say try starting at half the recommended dose and see how it goes for you.

Thanks brother, I will keep an eye on it. I took it last night and everything was fine. Seemed to improve it a bit, but that might be a placebo affect. I will how things progress 🩵

Good macros but try to boost the protein a bit :D @Kopite67 add protein bar etc

VERY happy to see you start tapering off meds I would keep going to 0 if you can.

meditation with valerian and magnesium will help if you can add some chamomile tea too

beautiful nature :D thanks for sharing

Trying to boost the Protien but traversing the middle of Oz has its difficulties with decent food sources.
So want to get to 0 but a little bound with Drs at present. Believe the push from me to reduce is coming fast. Kind of over the med thing.
Oh I hate tea @LevButlerov 🤢
Glad you like the pics 🩵

How do you feel on 3mg a week of reta bro?
I have a vial of reta from dragon pharma for the minicut after my deca cycle and prepping for another bulk with eq. Im planning to run 1mg a week
Feel great on the Ret. It is slighly over 3mg as I pin 1.5 every 3 days. It has curbed those in between cravings and I am starting to lean up a little. Still a powerlifting physique though 🤣 Might have to do cardio 😱.......Nah, maybe not 🤣

Sleep
Hard to tell again. Hotel bed, up early and stupid heat. Same today, but I will persevere.

Overall Health and Well-being
Last leg of travelling today. Man, it was hot. Where we are in South Aust was 50c(122f).
Didn't stop me from hitting a session at the commercial gym here that I just adore. Unfortunately it doesn't have a/c so it was a tad warm. Loved the session and it was a both a physical and mental boon to do it.

I tend to find whilst I can stick diligently to a program, especially if the gains I want are happening fast, I also thrive on a bit of variety now and then. This variety cannot happen in my own gym though and needs to be at a well stocked commercial facility with a plethora of cool machines.
I need to look into doing this more often I think over the long term. It will almost act as a mini download.
Below are a few pics from today from the trip.

The next post will be pictures including my first personal ones this log. I have added a picture I took on Jan 2 for reference. Still very much a powerlifting physique, but for the first 3 weeks Of real training I am pretty happy.

Sleep
First night with meditation and the Valerian root/ Magnesium Supplements in place seemed to improve things. Could be a placebo effect, but positive so far. Blocks of sleep were longer and I felt good this morning. So overall better.

Overall Health and Well-being
Not much to expand on today. Trip down south was uneventful. Food was a struggle to find anything decent. Was restful though and I feel relaxed which is a nice feeling. On to the 2nd leg tomorrow.

Much Love Evo Fam 🩵.

@Kopite67 I don't think it's a placebo effect at all. I think clearing your mind is very important and I think supplements do help you sleep.

Thanks brother. Though I am relatively new to the PEDs regime's I looked, watched, researched and asked and moved to this pretty quickly as my cycle. I really like it. The Proviron is just awesome and has provided a balance for me I love. Won't really play much with other stuff and adjustments may happen but they will only be slight increases of Test and Deca 🩵

Thanks @2Thick . I will admit now that they are actually working. I wake less often during the night and for longer. Hope it keeps improving.

Omg 50 degrees...there goes my hopes of moving to AUS lol. You still trained tho which is pretty hardcore. Training in that heat with no AC takes real commitment.

Is that giant Dunlop tire there cuz Aussies love burnouts so much?

Maybe brother. I think it was to do with the Grand Prix which originally started in Adelaide SA. Really a mystery to me too 🤣

That makes sense. F1 did run Dunlop's back in the day. The Aussie GP is in Melbourne now. Usually the first race of the season in F1 so it's a big one every year

Really pretty good.

Overall Health and Well-being
I was sitting here this afternoon listening to Led Zeppelin live, having a couple of holiday beers and being self reflective and a slightly self indulgent 🤔🥰.

That is your cue to bail now if you wish 😉.

Anyone who has followed my logs knows a few things about me, a short rehash, bear with me:
I started TRT in March 2025 because I felt crap and thought this might help....it did BTW.
I started doing a light cycle in May 2025, because, well bucket list really. I loved it.
Was just starting a second cycle to push a bit further in Sept, then......apple cart flipped.
I got sick, like never before in my entire life sick. Nearly died twice.
Because of a fitness filled life (yes, seriously this helped, a lot, remember that for yourselves), recovered fully, well still doing so, but nearly there.

So now what???????

And here is the reflective part.
Do I just go back to August 2025 and pick up where I left off? Not a bad idea.
Do I try something completely different? Mmmm intriguing thought 🤔
How about a combination of both? Now we are talking 🤗.

Sooooo, what would that look like?
In August 2025 I only thought about hitting the powerlifting platform and trying to lift as much as I could. That was after serious, serious training and a focus on every lifting record I could envisage, come what may.
Now, not only do I want this still, but in 18 months time on my 60th birthday, I want to do a photo shoot of me at my absolute physical best. Bodybuilding competition condition shape, without the competition itself.
Why? Because I have never, ever done either to its fullest potential.
I always used training for other sports, mental health strategies and because I just loved it.
Now, right now, I want to take myself to my limit, even if it's just once. For both.

So why tell the Evo Fam?
Because I will need help to do this. I think I can do certain things, but this time I believe the empty cup approach might be best.

@LevButlerov @Allupfromhere @HarleyGuy
think this is possible? 🤔 🫣

Much love to the entire Evo Fam 🩵.

Thanks so much for opening up bro. It takes a lot to do that and let yourself be vulnerable with some of the details of your life that are tough to put out there because being vulnerable takes courage even when others might end up using it against you. I've had this happen often but I stay the course by owning my story. Mad respect for sharing your thoughts and struggles.

I feel like there's two ways to go here and you're at a fork in the road. There's powerlifting and there's bodybuilding. Both are two entirely separate beasts with different training and different eating. Now, if you look at the first quote above this rambling of mine (the part about the photo shoot) I feel like my best advice and your best course of action is going the bodybuilding route. Not only will then prevent injury and not set you back but it will help lay a foundation and be a launching pad to getting that birthday 60th photo having you look big, ripped, and vascular for your competition shape 60th birthday photo. Having 18 months means we can start with a building phase borderlining on powerlifting (controlled and steady heavy lifting with good form possibly setting some big PR's) and finish with a bodybuilding diet and training program that get's you peeled and dialed in for your photo.

We can discuss all the details on diet and training once you've made a choice being at this fork in the road you're describing.

The compound choice and dosing will also matter in terms of which direction you wanna go. No matter what you decide we will support you bro!

I like the thinking and approach @HarleyGuy

Wow, so much was timed out of this conversation and lost.

Let's see if I can recall it all:
After I like the thinking and approach:

I tend to always lean on the side of low rep Powerlifting training and I know this needs to change as I will acquire injuries inevitably with this approach and negate the entire process. I can adjust my training as required to suit the process.

I also said:

This entire process will be done out in the open. All the discussions, protocol changes, disagreements and process changes will done through this log. Otherwise, where's the fun in the journey 😁

In my short time within this community I have learned that Evo and the Evo Family is built on trust, love, collaboration, discussion and openess. And so you will see ALL of this take place on this log during this epic journey. 🩵

Fuck mate i am sooo here for this!!! (Im here for ya regardless but this is a whole new level haha)

My opinion is.....

Chase the photo shoot. Get yourself in theeee best conditioning of you entire life and then some.. chase the numbers for your pride in the growth phase but dont chase them so hard you risk injury at your age. Its simply not worth it for a few big lifts..

However you get yourself jacked and dick skin peeeled and you can enjoy the ride and the results and i almost guarantee that you will want to stay conditioned once you there.

If i was to lay out the 18 months.

Use the next 6 months to get a peeeled as possible. Get all health markers in check and get yourself as insulin sensitivity as genuinely possible. Set up the most effective and efficient athlete you can be.

This sets the canvas and a clear long structured runway for a calculated, strategic and purposeful lean quality bulk.
Run this for 8 months.. dont allow things to spill over and lose conditioning too far.

Set a structured cycle design during this phase and implement mitochondrial enhancements to keep everything operating efficiently at a cellular level. Structure nutrition and stay militant here.

Apply enough stimulus with training to build the muscles you can from your nutrition but not so much the recovery gets compromised.

By the time we get to the last 4 months you wont have to recklessly chase conditioning as you have stayed tight and healthy the whole time.

The last 16 weeks isnt about thrashing your body to strip fat its about smoothing out the entire process and polishing the burred edges.

This approach keeps you healthy, energetic, mentally engaged and extremely productive.

Dont abuse anabolics for short term results.

It means you stop bullying your body into doing what you want, because you actually understand how to make it more efficient.
When the system is built properly, the results come without forcing them. You’re no longer fighting your physiology, you’re working with it.

When you can intelligently manipulate drugs and nutrition to support that efficiency, train like a fucking animal, that’s where things get scary.

That combination lets you do some genuinely incredible things to your physique.

Well the consensus between @LevButlerov @Allupfromhere and @HarleyGuy is we prioritise the photos shoot. So lads, since is the "way out of my comfort zone" approach, how do I start this?? Remember Evo is watching 😁

Bros, you in the right place to learn
and you're going to learn fast.

Let's start be leaning you out and getting your insulin sensitivity as sensitive as possible. Meaning, let's start with diet. We can arrange a diet around your favourite clean choices of proteins and carbs, do you know them? Supps will also play a role here too. Berberine and Citrus Bergamot to name a couple.

Once we know your food choices and if you're willing to start weighing your food we can dial in your macros for P/F/C and calories right down to the letter and get you lean going into the summer (well, my summer here in Canada).

OK this is easy. I am allergic to nothing food wise and will eat anything really. There are certain vegetables that I am not fond of but that is what recipes are for.
Right now, today, I will be dropping any bread or wheat grain off my palette. That a reasonable start?🩵

Bread for sure and start looking at nutritional information on anything that comes in a box and dump anything with added sugar. Look at the ingredients list and if it says sugar as one the main ingredients then consider it totally unnecessary.

You can look around logs on here for good whole food protein and carb ideas. Sweet potatoes/yams and chicken breast/lean steak are some of my faves.

I eat basically a rotating permutation of the same thing every day from a list of only about 8-12 different whole foods. Protein/Carbs will be clean and whole foods and fats will be minimal around 80g/day.

First we'll have to set you up with a diet. Somewhere around 4 meals a day with fasting until the next day and an 8-10 eating window with macros cycled around training vs. rest days. Training will be bodybuilding training and PED use will be as @Allupfromhere described.

OK. I will list everything again today as usual and see if I can get processed out as much as possible. This will be easier at home in a couple of days, but I have to start somewhere. Thanks brother 🙏 💙

Instead of the half answer I gave before:
I will eat basically protien source. It is fairly easy to obtain in Oz.
My HUGE downfall is Carbs. I need all the help I can get with these. I have always gone the easy route with these and I think it is my main problem. If I can get this area sorted then the initial fat loss will be pretty easy.
From that point to less than 8%, well that is a completely different story. But that is not for quite awhile anyway. First things first 🩵

@LevButlerov @Allupfromhere @HarleyGuy
think this is possible? 🤔 🫣

When you said listening to Zeppelin live I was like wait... they're actually touring? Then I was like naw no way. I remembered hearing the absurd amounts of money they turned down cuz they can't stand eachother lol.

You could run a powerbuilding program. I used to only chase bigger weight too and had a similar epiphany. Switched to a powerbuilding program for a while and then got hooked on changing my body. No reason you can't do both or go back and forth.

I actually had the exact same goal for my 40th bday last year. Now 50 I wanna beat 40.

Its good to have long term and short term goals. Keeps us pushing. I think getting in stage shape for 60 is an awesome goal!

Awesome post mate. Love self reflection.

Led Zeppelin nice!

So would the physique goals come after the powerlifting or instead of? Regardless, there's no reason you can't do a mock prep. It's all about just getting the best physique that you are capable of.

Thanks brother. My plan is for both, however as we progress towards the photoshoot things will probably shift to the physique side of things organically. Let the games begin 😁🩵

Train for strength on the big 3 and then everything else can be bodybuilding. Plenty do that with 5/3/1 for example.
Yeah my programming (in consultation ) will likely be a bit like that. I can't do singles all the time anyway as I will inevitably injure myself and kill any further progress. So temperance will definitely be order 🩵

For carbs is it the taste, digest-ability, or ease of prep that’s hardest?

What ticks most boxes are the semi-prepared microwaveable rice sachets you can get from Colesworth - the blends that are basmati, brown, or rice & quinoa combo are decent.
You could try rice noodles for variety.

Rice flour (CoR) or GF oats can be good wheat-free sweet breakfast options.

For savoury, if you’re OK with some easily digestible wheat then sourdough bread or rye are both good.

That being, said when my carbs get low on a diet, I mostly opt for fruit & veg & sweet potato for maximum bang for buck. The spud lite potatoes are also great - lots of potato for very few cals :)

Ease of preparation for sure @Alice_In_Ironland . I have used the microwavable rices many times, it is vegetable sources that really are difficult. Anything other than rice and potatoes are always a problem. I have spud lite as well. I think almost all of it is there but I don't put it together well. Number of meals is also an issue and anything that is a small meal is processed in some way. What can I use here?

I like Highly branched cyclic dextrin (HBCD) - since it’s a powder and you can drink it (I have it during training or just beforehand).

Otherwise honey, salt (+ sliced banana if you have the carbs) on plain rice cakes is a good pre- or post-training carb meal that can be made smaller or lower calorie.
The Ceres organic brand rice cakes (also at ColesWorths in the health isle) are made with very simple ingredients - just 100% brown rice and sea salt.
All stuff you can stash in a desk drawer or a gym bag and throw together with minimal fuss.

Again, I use rice cakes quite a bit. Just got to change what goes on them. I always go for cheese and that I think is an error. I will try the honey and salt though. Ta @Alice_In_Ironland 🩵

Had a really satisfying day today. Trained well this morning, have eaten better today (apart from the last meal) and after a couple of discussions you have seen with @HarleyGuy and @alice_in I am starting to get a plan together for stage 1 of my journey to the photoshoot.
I noticed with my diet I am not a huge distance off track and need to modify a couple of my less than stellar options I take.
That said today I found the Ret was really keeping things at bay. Calories were down and I felt full quickly.
I am super happy that so many people are seeing how the Evo Fam is indeed a fabulous community that will support, teach, help and advise in so many ways.
So tomorrow a new baby step with diet and more ideas to get this party started.

Much Love Evo Fam 🩵.

Beautiful pics bro!!

Everything is lining up and I'm so grateful to see you getting everything in order from meds to diet/training/PED's and your mental mindset is in check. This is going to be a great and successful journey!

Slightly bump on HR, probably legs this morning 🤷‍♂️
Haha that'll do it. BP looks great though!

You picked a good one, hope you enjoyed it while it lasted LOL

We got this brother, 100%

I am super happy that so many people are seeing how the Evo Fam is indeed a fabulous community that will support, teach, help and advise in so many ways.
EVO truly is a family, it's got everything in it a typical family has, truly. EVO love to you brother you're one of the family here!

Nice log mate, leg day looks pretty damn solid for a holiday! Hopefully you got a bit of cardio in with the golf me personally would have booked a cart though hahah
Oh I did have a cart. Body held together for 13 holes, which is better than expected. 🩵

Amazing transformation pics! The consistent hard work you’ve put in re: training and nutrition really shows :)
Thanks for kind words @Alice_In_Ironland . Just can't see it myself yet. But the work will pay off and the advice I am getting (and actually listening to) is of unbelievable quality and intelligent content. Learning everyday just a bit more. It will happen, I am too bloody-minded for it not to 😁🩵

Thanks @LevButlerov . I have reduced another med today actually. Slowly but surely they are going, kind of like the extra weight around my waist actually 🤔🤭. Finding it soooo hard travelling to find good protien sources, I will try a few more protien bars though. Found a decent one the other day that wasn't totally gross.
It's a great golf course 🩵

Thanks brother. The love, support and help I am getting all ready has set a🔥 under my arse like you wouldn't believe. So motivated, more than I have been in decades.
Unfortunately no it wasn't a great last cheat meal. My son (on spectrum) ordered a pizza for lunch (he chose) then took literally 1 bite and said I can't have this 😑. It had a spicey side to it and that is a big no-no. So we brought it home and I ate some for meal 5. 🩵

Thanks bro. It is a slow process getting rid of them but I have a couple of big ones going soon so 🤞.
SA is my wife's home state. We were in the River land Berri/ Renmark doing a family thing. We love Adelaide and will be relocating there in a couple of years. Great gyms, better golf courses 🩵

Great update! You’ve hit the nail re: diet and nutrition. No need to throw the baby out with the bathwater, just trial-and-error to make little improvements here and there and see what sits well for you. Once you have a good ‘base’ diet it gives room for changes here and there to accommodate taste/ preferences/ convenience without comprising nutrition.

Hats off to you for continuing to macro track despite being away - most don’t!

That was a super early leg session! True commitment to this lifestyle if I’ve ever seen it!

Nice looking course too. Wide fairway without too many trees :) need more of those in Aus! Grass looks fairly long! Did the greens play slow?

Daily thoughts - Pre game on
I tried hard today to keep my food in check but a lack of options kind of de-railed that a little today.
Training was great though I am looking forward to getting back to my own gym.
So a viewpoint:
I have been training in gyms since I was 16, so I've seen 1 or 2 things. I am amazed and disappointed by the number of young people who will seek what they think is the easy path to an the physique they are looking for.
Lifting to me was initially for other sports, then as life pressures of work, kids, money ect. came along it was about my mental health without me even knowing it. Iron Therapy was vital for me to be balanced in the other things I did, again without realising it.
I have many friends over the years who I have trained with, talked with and interacted with over the iron. It's a life style choice I embraced years ago.
I was introduced to the Evo Family last year in March and I have never, ever know a community like it. March was also when I started TRT and was the first time I have ever taken any performance enhancing substance that wasn't Gatorade 🙂.
I love the science and how my body responds to it. I am by no means knowledgeable about many aspects of this lifestyle despite being involved in it for nearly 40 years. My nutrition is very so-so, I am only on my 2nd cycle and my training style needs to modify as I get older. But what I do have is an open mind, an Evo Family who are willing, and able, to help me achieve my next goal and a thousand questions 😁
Back to young people. Many, not all, do not immerse themselves in the lifestyle preferring to seek a quick fix and even worse a free quick fix. They see it all as exciting to start with then inevitably drift off when things take too long, or the next idea distracts them.
Whilst logging is not everyone's "thing", the opportunity that they miss by not learning, asking, or just training in different ways is still disappointing to watch.
Here is hoping that things change.

Much Love Evo Fam 🩵.

Much Love Evo Fam 🩵.

lifting is true therapy :D its a fact @Kopite67 but how do you get such good pics? just amazing view

Thanks sister. I am so commited to getting this right, and my usual " bull in a China shop" approach will have to be totally shelved for now 🫣. Course is nice and the greens were actually in incredible condition and not lightening fast despite having several days over 40c beating down on them.

Daily thoughts - Pre game on
As we were on our final leg of the trip to home, today was a lot of planning with MsKopite67 about food going forward.
I have decided on a main rotation of Chicken, steak and mince (ground beef) as my protien base. @HarleyGuy
I will stick with Salmon, Trout, Ham in the mornings.
This is the hardest part of my new journey. Not necessarily starting it, but sticking with it for an extended period of time.
The final drop before Aug 2027 will involve strict adherence to coaching so that is just a matter of doing as I'm told which of course I can do 🫣😬.....anyway it's a ways off.
Journey has really started now.......

Bro, I'm sorry I'm so late to the party on your log.
The weight is coming off nicely and you're strong as an ox.

I Love these pictures too. Thats some grouse equipment in the foreigns. Travelling the country and still getting it done is no mean feat. My hats off to you.

The boys have laid out some excellent direction. I reckon you're gunna slam the goal for 2027 brother. I'm here for it all the way King.

Thanks brother for the kind words. I have some excellent assistance from a few of my brothers but I have also gained valuable insights from the Evo sisters as well, in particular @Alice_In_Ironland.
This party is just starting and it is wonderful that you will watch the fun unfold 😁🩵

Great BP and RHR. You’re in great shape bro and beautiful pics!

Well put.
I have decided on a main rotation of Chicken, steak and mince (ground beef) as my protien base.
Haha love it! Almost my entire diet
Retatrutide 1.5mg every 3 days.
This is quite strategically thought out as the half life is 6 days I like this.
