Well nothing too specific yet because I am learning all the terminology.
But what's the basic outline to get from money in bank account to actually paying someone in bitcoins? Seems like I need to find a "wallet"?

Make sure you add a little more to cover the btc fee. Didn’t realize it will be pulled at the very end once the payment has been sent, therefore slightly lowering the total amount sent

Download binance. Make an account and find the payment options. Add whatever payment you’d like to do, ie bank account, debit card etc. once everything is verified, click on accounts, specifically btc. Buy your dollar amount, plus a little extra to cover fees. Once you have your coins, there’ll be a little airplane in the top right corner to send. From there follow the guide in sending btc, making sure the address is exact

having to use bitcoin is inconvenient for us old farts that are not as technical 'cyber' savvy as this younger generation. its not the senders having problems sending MG or WU. its the receivers that cant seem to pick up $$$. i guess if i want gear im going to have to hire somebody to teach me the ins and outs of cyber currency. which is GAY. looks like old faithful NAPS again

There are three types of wallets. Yes, you will need one to transfer the bitcoin.
