Thanks! and I took it down, sound advice. Looks like I'll push back my next cycle to start with the new year - always a good time to jump back into things, right? And that will be taking off a full 7 weeks.
Thanks, and thanks for the really useful feedback - great to know what needs to be checked. So, this may be a completely stupid question - but how do you guys get bloodwork? Do you go to your primary care doctor for a checkup? Should bloodwork be done after every cycle? I'm someone who tends to...
Great thoughts on the time between cycles Normagene... Thank you for chiming in Krazieone! I've heard both, but am much more predisposed to only WANT to take a month off between. So yeah I am doing 4 weeks before the next cycle.
I don't have the professional-quality video yet, but this is pretty decent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeUi-G_hHtU Hope you real bodybuilders get a kick out of it!
I am planning a second cycle, starting in another few weeks. This one will be more of a cutting cycle - so that's new...
Thanks!
One more post-cycle update - I'm 1.5 weeks out from taking my last var dose, and got my period back today (didn't get it when I was on cycle). Can't say I was really sad to skip it, but also nice to see that my hormones aren't permanently out of wack.
Good post - definitely agree that it depends on body type though, ecto or endo. Just did my first cycle and really enjoyed being able to just listen to my body and eat what it asked for and see all muscle gains. Off cycle, not the case - I have to be way more careful or it goes to fat.
Agreed, and getting up on stage for a competition puts the pressure on even more. That's why I compete. Whatever happens on stage happens, but the gains you make from training that hard because you knew you were up against everyone else - those you will always get to keep!
Thanks guys!
I would loooove for pole to make it to the Olympics - the thing that's holding it back is a solid code of points like gymnastics, but it's starting to go that way. It's definitely as fun to do as it is to watch! :)
Thanks Caligirl - for all of the very sound advice! And GREAT to hear from a more experienced woman on here.
So, I'm way slow to getting to this, but time to write my wrap-up post. I went the full 7 weeks. The first 5 weeks were all 10mg/day. For the 6th week, which was my competition, I ended...
Haven't changed the dosage - have been holding steady at 10 mg/day the whole time. If I'd started with a week of 5mg/day I think that would have helped the initial mood swings and insomnia. But my pills are 10mg and the process of cutting them into 1/4s seemed messier than it was worth.
7...
Alright everyone, checking in! I'm 3 weeks in. Not a ton to note, and sometimes no news is good news. I'm not noticing any sides. I think my body has somewhat acclimated to the var as I really don't notice any elevated mood or crashes anymore. The elevated moods were kind of nice so I'm a little...
Oh interesting, I will have to check this out! Thanks.
So I'm on day 3 of the GW. The only thing I notice is I feel a little edgier/hungrier. It seems to be undoing a bit of the nice appetite suppression from Var? I don't notice any additional boost in energy or endurance.
Thanks, glad to hear I'm not the only one!!!
I haven't been taking a probiotic. I do eat a cup of yogurt every day though. Do you still recommend a supplement on top of that?
Absolutely true - it never takes as long to get back to where you were. One thing i have noticed is after being off for a while my brain will think I can do what I used to, when my body hasn't quite yet caught up... which is unfortunately a really easy way to get injured. So it's important to...
