Veteran Log PrinceDaddy 2025 Bodybuilding Log (Masters 55+ Competitor)

Sunday Shoulders
Wake up @ 197
Post Workout @ 193
Steps : 4K

I have split out my shoulders and chest into separate days. I have a left shoulder issue. I'm able to press 235 for 5 reps but I want to build back to 4 sets of 10x225. Much easier to do when on cycle androgens. I have been trying multiple shoulder movements. I have started doing standing barbell shoulder press. I want to get stronger in this movement. I have always done seated presses.

Today on the standing press, I went thru the following
10xbar
10x55
10x65
10x75
10x85
10x95
10x105
10x115
10x125
10x135

At this point, I want to get used to the movement pattern and get stronger at it. My delts felt a good stretch.
heck of a job on this training. that is what we like to see! keep the grind going @PrinceDaddy

Tuesday Legs
Wake up @ 197
Post Workout @ 192
Steps : 23K

Feeling good with the work out today. Have a lot on my mind as end of year is approaching. All kind of financial things that need attention.
Blood work this Friday. Will start my test/deca blend afterwards.
waiting for bloods :D
did you find new job? @PrinceDaddy

Monday Back
Wake up @ 198
Post Workout @ 192
Steps : 19K

I left my Versa gripps at home this morning. So could not go as heavy as I normally do. My back strength exceeds my grip strength. So 110s instead of 130s. I have a new set coming. My old ones are peeling, so time for them to go.

Took my second dose of Reta 2mg today. Expect to be thirsty...

Out on my walk, they were putting up a sign. Snapped a picture.
Here you go
Glad your outside enjoying life brother 🙌

@PrinceDaddy man versa grips are the need knees. I love mine. It really helps me just concentrate on hitting the muscle instead of worrying about my grip

No. Doing a little freelance work. Earned a little money for the first time since June of last year. Not counting unemployment.
happy to hear you're moving forward :D

Wednesday Chest /Abs
Wake up @ 197
Post Workout @ 192
Steps : 16K

I'm liking the split out of the chest/shoulders. Today was chest. I typically do all abs, then all chest. Today, a little abs, then some chest, then back to abs. A little variety keeps things interesting.
Good day, chest pump was good? :D

Been busy working on a AWS project. Frustrating the back and forth to getting things right. Try this fix, check the log, next fix, check the log.
Part of being a software developer. Works great on my computer, just frustrating working thru the errors on the server.

Anyways, fasted this morning, last meal last night around 7pm, blood draw today around 2pm. So, about an 18 hour fast. Pretty easy for me to do. Anxious to see what blood work will look like. Just my TRT dose and reta since the end of August. I did put on some fat with the travel/trips.
Starting to eat much better, but I don't want to be prep strict till Feb of next year.

Took my first does of 1ml of the Test/Deca Blend. So if its dosed right I should be getting 200mg Test and 200mg Deca. I should feel the impact later in the week and especially after the 2nd dose. Hoping the joints feel much better.

That's me. Old guy in front of computer....

I've often thought of creating an app to track your cycle. Put in your compounds. Set the weekly schedule. Have it send text reminders. Show you your anabolic composition any day of the cycle based on your dosages using the half life of the compounds. Maybe even upload your bloodwork and see how the compound are affecting your blood markers. Maybe add an AI LLM to do some analytics on your data. As a bodybuilder, upload a image pose and have it critique your physique, maybe model your physique with areas of improvement. Maybe suggest and track a program to build up those areas of need.

I could do it, it's a grey area. Not sure people would want to log something like that online.

Good leg workout today. Can't say I'm feeling any effects from the Reta/Test/Deca combo yet. Going thru the motions. I would like to tighten up the midsection, it does feel loose. Appetite feels normal, not overeating and not under eating.

Some of my bloodwork has come in. Looks like Hematocrit and Hemoglobin are high. I did give up six vials of blood yesterday. Still waiting on the rest of the results.

Age is just a number bro. Doubt anyone looking at you would ever classify you as an old guy that's for sure.

That app idea is brilliant. It would be a great way of blending your 2 fields of expertise as well which could make it fun for you to build.

I have a whoop strap and they've done something similar, but more broadly fitness based. They use Chatgpt, I think, and they recently added an update where you upload your markers and the LLM will track your bloodwork and make recommendations.

Having a more bodybuilding focused app would be awesome! Especially with the features you mentioned. I know it would be a hit around here. A lot more people are using tracking apps for macros and training these days, so apps are definitely getting more popular in this culture.

Thats the issue use cases would be hard to come by via a physical app and likely a lot of work. Create a new FB :D

Sunday : Abs/Shoulders
Wake up @ 195
Post Workout @ 193
Steps : 3K

I have been trying different exercises to bring up my shoulders. Now I only focus on shoulders. At this point, I'm loading light just to get used to range of motion. I have been using BPC and TB for the left shoulder. I still feel some nerve pain. I'm hoping I feel better by the new year.

NPC Nationals were this weekend locally. A friend of mine competed as welter. He is 47. This is not a masters show. I thought he brought his best conditioning to date. I looked at the callouts and competitors. I have to say, it is amazing, the amount of muscle on these competitors. You really do not realize how much muscle some folks are carrying. This class is between 155-165. My friend is wide like myself. His leg/glute/thigh conditioning was great. The upper body, he just did not have as much mass, chest/shoulder development as the higher placing competitors. Top 2 in the class get a pro card. There were 19 competitors in the class. They only place the top 15, everyone else is just 16, they don't judge beyond the top 15.

I don't have complete results on the blood work, but I do have a few more results. Looks like some cholesterol values are not bueno. I feel like when my diet is clean, it is just much better. Will post when I have full results.

One day at time. Make the most of it! The weights can't lift themselves....

One of the good things that you're doing here is that you're controlling the way your shoulder feels. The BPC and TB should work really well for that. The nerve pain is definitely not something fun. It won't get easier as you get older, trust me. @PrinceDaddy

Grinding on this freelance project I am working on. Making progress, but much work to still do. Learning plenty.

I seem to be waking up with very dry joints. It takes a while to warm up and it just does not feel as loose as it should. I'm hoping the deca add helps in this regard. My legs seem to be doing better than my upper body. I just feel these shoulder issues.

Here are versa gripps, old pair and new pair. You can see I've torn up the leather or material. These help tremendously on pull day/back. Holding the 130s while shrugging, RDL movements. I get about one year out of pair before I need to replace. At some point, your back strength exceeds your grip strength. I don't know that your grip strength will ever catch up.

First time dropping under 190 in the past few weeks. I would like to get rid of some of the body fat and get to the mid 180s before starting prep in Feb. Good workout this morning, still feel dry and stiff.

I don't know if anyone follows iamsarahfit Sarah Villegas, she came in second to Natalia Coelho. Womens Physique Olympia winner.

Shared principles with the "Real Deal". Bodybuilding will never be watered down, too many of us that genuinely love the sport!
Just in case some still need clarity on this subject:
Bodybuilding is a sport of building actual muscle. Finding a workaround to muscle building undermines the integrity of the sport entirely (no matter how many people say otherwise).
Plastics, silicone, PMMA, oil fillers, or any form of muscle implants are simply not muscle, they are not bodybuilding. The sport is called bodybuilding, not plastic building (read text on last slide). #BodybuildingNotPlasticBuilding #StayTuned

The assertion being that the winner used SEO (Site Enhancement Oil) to enhance muscle appearance. I think this is an interesting discussion. I kind of agree. I don't want to see plastic and oil. I want to see muscle and it's ok if it was obtained with anabolics. I know some people use it to cover up weaker body parts. I've always heard from judging point of view if you can't tell it was done, then it was done right. There are several Olympians who have been suspected of using SEOs.

It is a subjective sport, a beauty contest in a way. A boob implant can help a female bikini competitor. Although either you have it or you don't in this category. From a judging point, would not surprise me if it helped.

On a lighter note, I don't mean to flaunt. Here are some of my trophies. Let's see your trophy case...

I like the figure trophies. Medals are ok. My favorite award was an overall sword for bodybuilding at a natural show almost 13 years ago,

Thursday Traps / Triceps / Dumbbell RDLs
Wake up @ 195
Post Workout @ 189
Steps : 17K

My favorite award was an overall sword for bodybuilding at a natural show almost 13 years ago,
The only trophy I'm chasing now it the pro card. The herd is thinning. I'll keep grinding...
Amazing :D I love the sword! @PrinceDaddy
and I agree i dont think silicone is bodybuilding!

Hey mate, was looking in to the versa grips. Are they as good a simple wrist straps? I imagine they are a lot easier to use?

I 100% agree that the plastic and oil is not the way to go. @PrinceDaddy I like the natural look myself with some steroid use here and there, but not everybody agrees with us.

If you could make it anonymous the I’m sure people would love something like that

That is a nice little trophy case right there. You did an amazing job. It's something to be proud of. You really are a dedicated bodybuilder, and for that, I respect you 100%. @PrinceDaddy

Hey mate, was looking in to the versa grips. Are they as good a simple wrist straps? I imagine they are a lot easier to use?
I like them over straps. Easier to get in and out off. Also, you can drop the bar on the top of the dead lift.

I use them for heavy grip movements. Dumbbells at 110 and 130 for RDLs and shrugs. I'll use the on chest supported rows, bar and plate loaded machines. Also for back focused pull ups.

I only use them on the heavier weight side. So, once the back strength exceeds the grip strength. During the holidays, they usually discount them. Get the pro version of your hand size.

2nd shot of my test/deca blend today. Also took some BPC157/TB500. Joints still feel dry, but I am grinding. I have never used NPP, I know it is basically a shorter ester. Both are technically the same, just more injection frequency with NPP vs Deca. I would like to try it next year.

I should start feeling the deca effects this upcoming week.

I feel like my shoulders a feeling better, but they don't feel fresh yet. I did the seated press 235, about 4-5 reps. I miss earlier this year when I was doing 4 sets of 10. I just have to slowly build back up. I am only on my TRT dose since Sept 1.

I got my blood work. A few disappointing items. Makes me feel like clean diet improved cholesterol even in the presence of contest anabolics. I think my next draw will be around the start of Feb where I start prep for 2026.

I think my next draw will be around the start of Feb where I start prep for 2026.
your bloodwork is not THAT bad. but yeah you are dealing with some typical organ strain. taking a little break from the sauce at some point would be a good idea @PrinceDaddy

That's good that you are being open about your blood work. @PrinceDaddy we see a lot of people out there who have an ego. They don't want to admit when their blood work is off.

@PrinceDaddy I had blood markers way worse than that when I was running steroids at my peak. So considering you're competing, I don't see it that bad.

Bros, I'm glad your shoulder is feeling a little better. Seem like you're just dealing with the stuff we deal with as we get older. That's just all part of the game. @PrinceDaddy

These bloods aren't that bad at all bro. Nice IGF1 marker too by the way!

I'd get N2Guard at 7 caps ED I run it all year long on or off cycle.

Bloods not bad but your e2 is a bit high and alt ast a bit high, you doing anything to control it? @PrinceDaddy
cholesterol lipids dont worry about those

I'm not taking anything for the higher E2, I don't feel it. No nipple sensitivity, no emotional teardrops. I'm going to watch it since I am on a mini-cycle since I am now doing Test/Deca Blend 400 1ml/weekly. I am high E2 converter. My doctor had me on an AI (Anastrozole) just on my normal TRT dose. November was a travel and eating month. I have a little more body fat, with that being said I am sure I am converting more.

I'm going to just say this. I don't want to offend anyone. Bodybuilding compounds and dosing are likely going to take some years of your life. It is calculated risk and I'm just trying to be careful in my approach. Educate yourself and monitor the effects and know your limits. That is why I do blood work regularly. Be aware!

And so Xmas week begins. No gym on Christmas Day as it is closed. My joints are starting to feel a little looser. not fully but I am feeling the beginning of this effect. Good back work today. Had my versa gripps. Got it done.

So, this will be the first show next year. I'm already qualified since I did the same show this year. As a masters competitor you just need to do an NPC qualifier or national show and your qualified for the following year.

I don't know how I am going to feel come February. Usually with the cycle I feel strong and ready, but I am slowing down. I am focusing more on control and constant muscle tension. I think the heavier weight is past me now. We shall see!

I would use aromasin in your situation or add eq to moderate the e2, I wouldn't sit with higher e2 levels especially you're a competitor @PrinceDaddy

Agree, and the funny thing is if you watch social media, some of these clowns will tell you the opposite. They'll say that steroids are good for you. SMH

Woke up early not intentionally, I just can't sleep past 6AM. I've just gotten used the 9PM to 5AM routine. I sleep well enough, but that is just my clock. Today gym opened at 6AM as opposed to the typical 4AM, so a bit of a late start. Got it done. Just ran later.

I do believe the Deca is kicking in. My joints are feeling much, much better. I'm not pushing any extraordinary weight, just maintaining.

Glad to hear the joints are feeling much better! I feel mine have a little wear and tear currently which is a little annoying lol.

The phrase « the eye of the tiger » symbolizes the determination, intense focus, and fighting spirit needed to overcome obstacles and succeed in challenging situations. The tiger is often considered a symbol of power, courage, and tenacity.

Every year about this time, I am searching just like Rocky. Usually, I find it in early March. I don't have it yet, but I am looking. It happens little by little step by step. It becomes the training montage of Rocky 4 in the Russian snow.

Almost time peeps!

@PrinceDaddy I'm always fascinated by your updates on your weight changes. You seem to fluctuate your weight a lot. I think a lot of it is due to water retention.

@PrinceDaddy I'm always fascinated by your updates on your weight changes. You seem to fluctuate your weight a lot. I think a lot of it is due to water retention.

The morning weight is waking up at home. Sometimes after a BM if it comes. Sometimes at the gym. I do my workout and warm up. I sip a protein shake as I work out. After I get home from the gym Monday thru Friday, I do a two hour walk with my friend. We discuss family, stocks, investing, sports, health, movies, etc. We have a good dialogue and friendship. If it is hot, which last week it was in the low 80s, it is easy to drop 2-4 lbs in water. Today it is 30 degrees so and 50 degree swing overnight. I usually do the second weigh in after returning from the walk. It can easily be 3-6 lb swing.

On weekends it is similar, I just don't do the walk, instead I stay at the gym and use the steam and sauna rooms, for anywhere from 10-15 min each.

I kind of think of it as my dry weight. If I needed to step on stage or weigh in this is where I would be.
