Enquiring about the safety of my father beginning his first low dose cycle.

Hi, really hoping experienced users could spare a few minutes of your time to give me your opinion on the following.

My father has had a very difficult time in life over the last 10 years I will explain in full:

Around 2012 my father had a brain Aneurysm and had brain surgery to clip the aneurysm the surgery thank god was successful. He was prescribed Oxy Contin and several other opioid pain killers to cope with the pain, he ended up developing an addiction to these pain killers as only 1 year after he was diagnosed with Prostatitis meaning he was able to continue being prescribed the opioid pain killers making his addiction even more serious. he went through rehabilitation and was completely opiate free ever since.

He ended up having serious depression and Anxiety that has lasted up until now, he began body building starting very light and working his way up to more intense lifting but after a year of consistent eating well drinking well and lifting he made only very minimal gains. and it began to turn him off of lifting. about 3 months ago he began drinking and soon followed the cigarette smoking which he is now doing almost every day.

he is still going to the gym a couple times a week but you can see he has lost interest in it as he is not gaining anywhere near as much as his peers in the gym (most guys at our gym are running something without a doubt).

I think that if it were in your opinions safe for him to do a low dose of Testosterone Enanthate along with taking the correct ancillaries and a proper PCT protocol, I believe that he would after 8-9 years of misery and complications in life finally at long last have something positive to look forward to, a real purpose. this would guarantee he would no longer drink or smoke cigarettes and would adapt a more cleaner way of eating and leading a healthier lifestyle, many many thanks in advance for your time replying.

His stats are currently 76 Kilograms, 17% bf, 5,6" tall and currently 51 years of age.

Kind regards.

Astirid.

Absolutely not. He is in no way shape or form ready for a cycle. He needs to clean up his lifestyle completely first and foremost. It possible he is also suffering from low testosterone, but this is something he should see an endocrinologist about.

Thanks very much for your response PON.

Really sorry barely gotten any sleep I forgot to include the most important thing of all! he had pain in his chest around 2-3 years ago and was told it was a spontaneous coronary artery dissection. a more advanced and experienced doctor disagreed with this diagnosis and said he believed it was a Coronary Spasm.

if he were to get his lifestyle 100% healthy, would it ever be possible for him to run a low dose test only cycle, or with his medical history would he never in his life be able to run any test?

thanks again I'm sorry for forgetting to include the most important part I have had a lot going on and have had little to no sleep, many thanks in advance.

You need to get him to go see an actual medical professional and have them prescribe a supervised TRT dose.

ok thanks mate much appreciated, we will be doing also just thought id see who could chime in here for any secondary advice etc. cheers!

My secondary advice would be to get him healthy. His work in the gym is ok but it does sound like he has other bad habits (food, drug, health etc) which need work on.Hence the issues he's had thus far.

we all want to baby our parents. kudos to you. however been there and done that. at the end of the day your dad knows smoking and drinking is bad for him. he knows his body is sick. you can only attempt to educate however dad's especially don't want to hear shit from their kids on what they 'should do'.. after all they did raise you and guide you throughout life already.

you can TRY to buy him some books if he is into reading. maybe that will wake him up.. you aren't going to force him into changing things man. the more you push the more he will push you away. just know he isn't alone, 95% of people on this forum have parents who are in poor health. it is a product of our crappy american lifestyles

I've had plenty of addiction in my family. You can help but at the end of the day he has to be the one to want to change. If he has low test a doc can help but he has to be the one to get his addictive personality under control before you introduce more drugs. He has had heart problems and you definitely don't want to go that route if his addiction demons are still around.

Yuppp seconded...!.
At his age, his test is prob lowish.
Its life extension. But in his case he should start with doc prescribed trt.
Then see how things go.

Thanks a lot guys I really appreciate your time responding, the thing is he has seen me study aas and seen my results and he has always wanted to join me but I never let him because I was worried for his health at the time (his past medical complications etc) I know most fathers don't want to listen to the son they raised but my father is actually the opposite if I told him it was safe to inject 5cc of synthol into his left calf he would do it without hesitation lol.

he doesn't have an addictive personality or he would be on all kinds of shit from speed to meth, I just know personally that getting off the bad shit and getting on the test gave me motivation and drive I never had before and it kept me fit and healthy ever since. I see it doing the same for him because he has always loved bodybuilding but as we all know packing on mass especially at his age isn't possible naturally not in a desirable time frame anyway.

unfortunately we live in Australia and getting trt requires you to walk into the drs office looking like a skeleton. I will be getting a skype consultation with the anabolic doc in the US and forwarding him my fathers blood work and full medical history and seeing what he thinks.

I know that most likely he will not be able to do trt or run low dose test but I just wanted to check high and low because I feel if he were able to enjoy a cycle and see that fast growth it would inspire him and give him happiness and confidence he hasn't had in 10 years.

again thank you all for the positive comments, I heard many negative things about this forum back in the day (ironically from the forums filled with assholes that shelve 400mg of anadrol per day up their ass.)
ill be making sure to use this forum primarily from now on, thanks guys, all the best.

Australia is hard, but he should see a endocrinologist specialist. You'd be surprised with how they may be able to help.

I haven't seen my endo in ages... But she would happily put me on test undeconate every 10 weeks or less, because iv been blasting/cruising 5 years. If I asked I wanted to do it properly and wanted medical supervision. She even prescribed hcg to go along with the steroids I told her I was doing...

If u need healthcare, u have to see a specialist. Any other doctor is pathetic. You have to chase and take care of Ur own health and well being and they are there to help.

His lifestyle is the problem and steroids atemt going to fix that pr be a solution at all. Steroids are for people that are already well into the lifestyle and have built a good solid foundation and are in the right shape to take things to the next level. Hes a million miles from that. I would have him get bloodwork to see where his levels are to see if he qualifies for trt. Short of that nothing else except changing the lifestyle. Maybe adding in some sarms at some point

Thanks everyone appreciate the help, will be getting him to see an endo for possible TRT, if that doesn't workout im just going to get him on the right path and stay natty.

make sure if he does get TRT he still needs to clean up his act. getting on TRT is not the end all here. in many ways it can end up doing more harm than good combining poor heart health + higher T levels is a recipe for disaster
