someone told me that I should be taking amino acids everyday because they help feed my muscles in help them repair and grow
how often should I be taking them and is it okay to take them a few times a week or should I be taking them everyday consistent

i am not an advocate of amino acids for those living in the western world. you already get PLENTY of amino acids in your diet, too much actually

so spending money on bcaa supplements makes no sense at all and is frankly a scam by supp companies

it would be like supplementing with, refined oils, sugar or salt, in America we already get 100X the amounts we should get

I would take amino acids every day before training works well.

The protein in your food is made from amino acids

Some say yes and some no. So there's that.

Here's the thing. You're discussing the difference between during a workout, right after and as long as it takes to have the next meal.

Now look around the gym at the number of fellas using an amino type drink. How big, muscular, lean or strong are they? For the most part they're average looking.

You've got that eating food, even an amino drink, during a PROPER hardcore workout will make you feel like you're gonna puke it not actually vomit. Heck, you have to be careful not to eat a real meal too close to training never mind consume something during.

Finally, as someone who did use an intra drink (heck I still drink water with powdered creatine added as well as take 3 Ancient Strength (from N2BM) pills a day, any difference that 10-20g of aminos is gonna make is TINY. It'll only add up over a LONG time. And most of the gym members using any such product don't put in enough time.
