    band pushdowns exercises

band exercises use a latex band to generate resistance for the training of different bodyparts. Are any of you bros using band pushdowns and other exercises as part of your workout routine or are band training programs just desperate house wife fitness fads?

I use to use Power Bands until I broke a couple.
I switched over to the Resistance Bands as they seem to be more Heavy Duty.

I use Chains for added Resistance on my Olympic Bar..................................... JP

Bands shouldn't replace regular strength training, but rather should be incorporated into the movements. By adding bands on to certain movements, you change where the tension is applied.

For example, adding bands to the bench press will make the top of the lift harder. This is usually the weak point of the exercise for most users. Training with bands will help you progress through plateaus because you can address weak points such as that. Make sense?

They are also great for warming up.

I would look at it as another tool available to you. It is always good to try different things and maintain a variety in your training routine.

There was a time when I used these latex bands, but I never really felt comfortable with them, so I decided that I would be much better off with some dumbells. As a result, I got here at home quite some dumbells and bars lol.
