BCAA's?

BCAA's have been a growing trend in the recent years, creating curiosity and sparking interest among consumers. With this in mind, what is it about BCAA's that has caught everyone's attention, and is for the right reasons. Let's take a look at what BCAA's are and what there purpose is. BCAA's, aka Branched Chain Amino Acids, are nutrients that are important to your overall health. Your body cannot produce them on their own, but you can consume different foods in order to obtain the nutrients such as legumes, dairy, and meat. This is where the rise of supplements comes into play. Taking BCAA's in the form of a powder gives you the ease and comfort of taking it anywhere with you. What are some benefits of taking BCAA's you say?:

-Muscle Loss Prevention: your body may want to burn muscle rather than fat when you are in a caloric deficit. BCAA's, in turn, helps to preserve the muscle and instead burn the fat, which brings us to our next point.

-Build Muscle: as you build more muscle, your body will, in turn, burn more calories. As we stated before, if you are trying to lose weight and shed fat, you will want to rebuild your muscle with building blocks that come from BCAA.

-Train Harder: When you work out and more weight to your exercises, you may have the tendency to become sore, especially if you are new to working out and your body isn't familiar with working out. BCAA's will help to reduce soreness and get you through your next workout without feeling bogged down.

-Curb Cravings: As we all know, diet is unanimously the single most important factor for a healthy lifestyle. BCAA's will help to get rid of that unnecessary hunger and skip that candy bar or slice of pizza.

Whether you use BCAA's or not, and if you use them for the above reasons or not, it can be a helping hand to those who want that extra push! Do you use BCAA?

This seems like a 'copy and paste' thread but BCAA supplements do have a lot of merit.

The branch chained amino acid L-leucine directly signals protein synthesis through the mtor pathway. The branch chained amino acids are also extremely anti-catabolic which makes them great to take before cardio, especially when doing fasted cardio.

Just make sure to read the ingredients carefully because a lot of the flavoured BCAA products on the market have a lot of added sugar and carbohydrates per serving. This will blunt the fat loss response that you would of gotten from the cardio other wise. I personally use the capsulated BCAA product gear from n2bm.com.

The BCAA is a fine supplement to take, as it works, and it is very safe. However, I would dare to say that you get much more for the buck with creatine and whey protein, especially considering the fact that most whey proteins already have included in them the BCAA's. But if you have some spare money and you are a fan of fasted cardio in the morning, then yeah - the BCAA are definitely worth it.
