SLEEP is the #1 factor.. not just how many hours you get but the QUALITY of sleep
most people get shit sleep. if you are consuming caffeine during the day then that will be in your system at night too preventing you from getting a deep sleep
also contrary to what anyone will say on here food is your enemy with recovery. it inhibits recovery because your body must process that food and digest it using up a lot of energy. the harder the food is to digest and process, the more it hurts recovery. the easiest foods for the body to process are obviously watery fruits/veggies.
also ironically working out will delay recovery or doing any physical or mental exercise. you have to let the body heal
