    No need to.

I try and get out and do two proper long trail walks a week. Like several miles over the hills.

Whey you are training hard at the gym too much cardio can definitely be a problem if you don't manage it properly.
If you are already experiencing a negative effect on your training then you are obviously doing too much.

In case you want more in-depth help with implementing cardio to your workout routine hit me up.

While I would like to say I wake up early and do fasted cardio in the morning, I get up with just enough time to get to work. I head to the gym right after work and do my strength training, and and my night with varying cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, row machine, etc)

It doesnt matter much when you do it. Just implement it where it works for you
