    Different kinds of proteins

The more I get into body building and training in general, the more supplements I'm seeing out there. I am very particular about what I put in my body, especially since I wasn't too particular for awhile and now have about another 80 lbs to lose to hit my wrestling weight again.

One thing I noticed is all the different types of proteins out there. I don't mean different brands, I mean like Whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, Hydrolyzed whey, Calcium caseinate, Egg white (albumen), Whole egg, Micellar casein, etc....

My questions are, 1) are the different types of proteins better for certain things, i.e. weight loss, meal replacements, meal supplements, bulking, cutting, etc? and 2) how do I know which type of protein is best for me?

Honestly, real whole foods are the best sources of protein for you hands down. If you insist on powders, whey protein isolates without sweeteners are one of the better options.

protein powders are not going to help you lose 80 pounds at all. in fact they would be detrimental.

save your $$$ and get on a proper diet and workout program. spend your cash on N2slin and cardarine for a boost.. they work and are very safe

The guys are correct. I mean there are very small differences in the proteins for sure. But you need to lose 80lbs. That's all you need to focus on.

What is your purpose for the protein?? What for, and when do you use it? What’s the goal in other words?

In short, yes the different types of protein are used for different things. Just need to know your purpose.

You're overthinking it. Its protein dude. But honestly you need to worry more about which whole food protein sources you eat more than anything
