full body light on each muscle is going to be good for mantaining and for a deload vs. just not working out at all

so even though you feel like you aren't getting benefits, you still are cause you are giving your body a break before you put on the gas

professional athletes of EVERY SPORT have offseasons for a reason, it is to give the body a break so in weight training why should it be any different?

Do what works for you. Personally I would never do full body in one day. I don't think I'd have the energy or the focus.

I have tried full body a few times as a deload during really hard core programs and I think it has its place. Not something I would personally run long term though.

PHUL has been one of my favorites because I'm a big fan of different rep ranges. I get in a heavy low rep day and moderate rep day for upper and lower body. Once you get up in weight it can be taxing in the body and CNS. In my routine I do heavy squats on Teusday and then deads on Thursday.
