guys I need some help please...I am going to miss some gym sessions for like a month because of my final examinations ...I know that as a weight lifter I cant just sit on my hands and do nothing of course ill lose gains. ..so I was thinking of doing push ups and how many do you guys think I must do a day to at least maintain some of my gains ?

I Personally use Pushups as part of my Body-Weight days, when I'm not in the Gym.

So I'll do at least 150 Pushups, in various Positions ~ Flat, Decline, Incline.
And I'll include Dips and Pullups.
If you can't do the Pullups, you can do Seated Dips, between 2 Chairs.

So a set of 20 or 30 Pushups, then a 30 Second Break, right to the Seated Dips............................ JP
P.S.
Shoot for at least 5 Sets of each, at 20 to 30 Reps.
If it's too easy, increase the Reps in each set.

I can 15-25 Pushups and twice a day. It is a big deal for me!

Well then, here's a chance to improve upon that number on your Off Days.

Start by doing 15 Reps, 3 times throughout the day.
Then after a Week or 2, try and 20 Reps, 3 times during the day, and so on.
You'll be surprised how quickly, that number will increase with a little consistency.................. JP

I include pushups in various forms on every single chest day....I like 3 or 4 sets of 25 at the end of a chest workout.

I will give it a try. Thanks for the advice dear!
