I would love to hear some thoughts about how to know which supplements our bodies need? Is there like a test I can do that will tell me what supplements I need and which ones I am okay not taking for example? I am 22 years old and this is my 5th month training and I would like to improve quicker than I am so far

during the mid 20th century it was all about vitamins, vitamins, vitamins. people were taking tons of them and foods were fortified with them because of the fear of things like scurvy etc. this actually ended up being counter productive as time went on. now we know it is important to get our vitamins and minerals, but if you cannot absorb them then you are wasting your time.

so my point is LESS IS BETTER. get 3D from n2bm, eat a lot of plant based organic foods and fix your gut health if it is fucked up. 88% of america is metabolically sick, so in that situation tons of vitamins does you no good in the first place

Yeah, a multi and a protein powder is standard. There are lots of other things you can take along the way that may help but they're specific to your goals.

A good all round diet is the best place. Then vits, minerals, joint products and creatine

It really has to do with your diet. You want to be eating a clean diet with a variety of fruits and veggies. That is where you will get a lot of vitamins and minerals. Then you want to make sure you are getting in some protein and good fats. For example, if you are not eating foods rich in omega 3's like salmon then you will likely want to supplement with a fish or krill oil. It really comes down to deficiencies in your diet. Below are a few of the basics that can be taken daily:

Supplements are as the word suggest, to aid and add to a balanced diet and lifestyle, no amount of supplements in the world will help you, best route is proper diet eliminating terrible foods and fixing the gut bacteria, the body is a machine and will only work as good as you let it.

Basic stuff I take is creatine, digestive enzymes, turmeric and protein powder on occasion, the test is good foods.

At 22 it’ll be best if you just stick to real, non processed whole foods. Supplements are just that, they temporarily supplement needs, not replace. Just train with intensity, and train smart
