Latest time to take pre workout

What would be a reasonable time to take pre-workout ? I have taken it at night and then been up all night without being able to sleep. I will try taking it in the morning or at around lunch. I think I am sensitive to caffeine.

The half life of caffeine is 6 hours. Try not to consume caffeine at least 6 hours before bed time.

Ideally you would have a caffeine curfew of noon

The obvious answer is 'when do you train?'

crazy concept i know because i am fighting billions in marketing but do not use a pre workout. pre workouts do not help your workout anyway, they hurt it.. and i'm sorry to burst your bubble but if you can't sleep you cannot rest/repair your body. you need to be smart

Oh yeah, drink your pre-workout per-workout! Now why didn't I think about that?

I wouldn't have it much after 1pm if it was me. We are all different when it comes to caffeine sensitivity though.

If you absolutely need a pre-workout, and you're worried about sleep, why not find a good non-stim?

    These threads are mind boggling.

    When is the pre-game show?

    When is March Madness?

Here is YET ANOTHER flaw in the pre-workout supp concept: if you take a pre-workout and can't [email protected] night then you're lazy in the gym (remember: texting doesn't count as training) and DON'T NEED a pre-workout.
