    Protein and oatmeal

Sorry if this question has already been asked and everyone starts repeating themselves, but the search function wouldn't work for me this morning.
Does it have the same benefit if I put a scoop of my protein powder into my oatmeal as opposed to mixing the powder with water and drinking it?
The reason being that if I mix it with my oats with breakfast, then have a shake when I get to work, I won't have had two shakes in a row.

All that differs is it'll digest and absorb a little slower.

    ^This.
The main difference is going to be absorption rate but it won't impact on its nutritional value if that's what you are worrying.

Same nutritional value. The issue is you using powder for two meals in a row. I'd be trying to make one of those a whole food source if possible

Same thing, just slowing down the digestion speed is all. I also agree that it is better to turn to real whole foods instead of shakes as much as possible.
