    I hope we realize we are splitting hairs when we talk about sugar vs. carbs and it's affect in a post-workout situation. Sugars are carbs and I don't think anyone is suggesting downing a can of coke after a workout. But you can get the same effect by drinking a glass of grape just...and suddenly everything thinks that's ok because it's a fruit sugar. The insulin spike that results is awfully close between the two.

    Which goes back to my original recommendation. Post workout is the best time to eat a high protein balanced meal including some simple carbs/starches. Rice, fruit, whole grains, etc.

    Sugar is not good for your health, skin and blood.
    So I would say no.

    You need proteins after workout, not sugars! you'll get just fat

    Chocolate milk is my favorite after a workout.
    Easy to consume is the main benefit for me. Since i cant sometimes eat soon after working out.
