Taurine supplementation has a number of significant benefits for athletic recovery and health. From a health standpoint supplemental taurine is beneficial to the cardiovascular system, decreasing blood pressure, it inhibits oxidative stress, and decreases inflammation. I take it myself to lower my homoceysteine levels that are associated with cardiovascular disease and stroke.

From an athletic standpoint, taurine is beneficial in recovery and decreasing the inflammation associated with high intensity exercise.
