    Whey Protein

    Having trouble reaching my macros with just food. Anyone dropping 40 to 50 grams of whey in one serving? Is that wasteful?

    at 16% body fat that is your problem being a runner. you need to lose body fat, not worry about 'hitting your macros' .. there is no rule that you must get a certain amount of protein. vegans get way less protein than huge bodybuilders yet magically they are less deficient in minerals and vitamins. why? cause their bodies are more efficient and their bodies run better on less protein. the more you consume protein the more your body will need more and more just to absorb it. it is common sense.

    That's what the whey is there for. To supplement if you cant git your protein requirement with food.

    And yes I do 50g of whey per day. Your protein requirements depend on what your goal is. If you're just a runner then you dont need as much as a bodybuilder.

    You can do this if you need to but at 16% you should be cutting calories not adding

    It really sounds like you don't need more protein, but rather you need to cut.
