2014 Mr. Olympia Results

I guess no surprises, though Kai Greene was a bit soft in the pre-judging. Rhoden and Wolf is a toss-up. Branch Warren was the real surprise, amazing look - very unlike him.

I'm not sure if we are talking about "underdog" status for Kai Greene at this point, but it was a close Mr. Olympia for sure. Let's be very honest, Kai was fairly flat and his water weight wasn't on the money in the AM. He missed his dial-in by a few hours; well, with professionals, it only takes a few hours to lose the Olympia. Let's give credit where credit is due, Phil Heath won fair and he looked dialed-in when it was needed.

Overall, I would probably give it to Phil, but when it came to back, Kai had him beat there I think anyways. But his Abs were so flat compared to his last few comps. The judges are right, if he can come back shreded like he was back when he won the Arnold, he would nail it.

Big Ramy is one of my favorites and I KNOW he will be the Mr.Olympia before too long, and will be untouchable so long as he figures how to keep his conditioning top notch and stays consistent after that. That said, I think you're far off (but this is also just my opinion, we all have our own).

And that picture is "slanted". I can take 2 separate pictures and photoshop them together or whatever too. All what was done there was someone took the best pic of Ramy in that pose, and the worst one of Phil, and then put them together as if that's the end-all of it. You can't put pictures together like that -- they never reflect the truth. There are pics comparing Arnold and Ronnie side-by-side, and Ronnie doesn't even look that much larger than Arnold in those pics! I'm simply not a fan of such comparisons because they are so far off from the truth.

Ramy wasn't NEARLY as dialed in as Phil was on that stage. Yes he's DEFINITELY bigger, but he just didn't bring everything together to take the O. What you're saying can be applied to Roelly Winklaar. Winklaar is fucking MASSIVE, but wasn't even close to the proper conditioning to top Phil or Kai. Obviously Ramy looked better than Winklaar (and doesn't have the gut), but he still has quite a ways to go with his conditioning before he becomes a major threat to take the Mr.O.

Also, I saw Phil's gut in a few positions (facing away from the judges, relaxing his stomach a bit, etc), but he DEFINITELY didn't have a terrible gut. Perhaps I just missed it though.

That said, I really want to see Ramy take the Mr. Olympia and hold it as long as Ronnie. And once he gets his conditioning down, there won't be a competition for 1st -- only who takes 2nd lol. I hope he can get it down soon!

It not close in any way. Kai was much closer to 3rd or 4th than 1st. I knew in less than a few seconds of the first call out that phil had won. Only guy capable of beating him right now is Ramy, but he has to figure out how to get hard. They keep saying time but he looked the same as last year, maybe softer from behind. He should dump Dennis James and call Chad Nicholas. Winkllar is a beast, huge but that gh, insulin gut destroys his physique. It just looks horrible. I think it's really amazing that Ramy is so huge yet his midsection is tighter than just about anyones. Ramy would be a fantastic mr. Olympia if he can learn english. He's huge and freaky but not Branch Warren disgusting. He's aesthetic and symmetrical and like I said has a great midsection. Definitely someone they can use to promote the sport.

Exactly right brother! Phil i belive keeps winning cause of the political swirl in bodybuilding. Dont get me wrong Phil looks good, but i believe theres others that stepped on stage that looked a hell of alot better. Thats my opioion though

Not to be disrespectful and everyone has their opinions of course. But being a former npc judge, I judged local and regional contests in the 90's and early 2000's, Phil is the best right now by far. It isn't close. It's close between Kai, Rohden and Wolf and I would have put Rohden 2cnd, Kai 3rd and Wolf 4th. I don't know what u guys are looking at. Like I said it took me like 10 seconds of the first call our to know Phil won. I know everyone wants Kai to win and Phil is this cocky jerk but he is just better than Kai and by a lot. Kai will never beat Phil and I actually see him starting to fall down the placings soon. The best guy won, period.

Pre judging they were all off I watched the whole thing front row top to bottom. Phil won the finals over kai that is how it was won. Wolfe looked better up top then anybody else but when you have non existent calves it is hard to call someone balanced and symmetrical. Kai is too blocky to ever win cause like Dynex says he cares more about out sizing Phil which isn't gonna cut it. Shawn Rhoden looked the most complete out of the top 5 and most improved from last year. Phil and kai both actually regressed from last years show. Branch looked the craziest at the finals back to how he used to look when he was winning shows from grainy solid detail. Ramy is the one who will be tough to beat after a couple years when he gets a chance to gain some muscle maturity and dense hard muscles (he shouldn't drop Dennis either). Kuclo has a lot of size and condition to work on.

One thing that got me was Bonac was 100x better then the placing he got. He was definitely over looked. And Correa was the 212 winner hands down if you compare shots it wasn't even close in my opinion.
