There has been a significant reduction in training volume to help manage fatigue going into prep. No changes have been made to training intensity — if anything, the focus is on increasing intensity where possible to continue driving progression.

You definitely don't want to neglect your heart health. You want to keep improving it. It's a muscle as well.
