I’m male, 40 years old, and I’m 165lbs 5ft 10. I’m unsure of my fat percentage.
I’m currently attending the gym 3-5 times a week and looking to gain more lean mass. See my before cycle photo attached:

I have been considering doing my first cycle of Test E only but am looking for advice from those here with experience.
I’d like to start with a small dose (100mg per week) and then go from there up to a max of 250mg per week if my body accepts the test without issues or sides. Slow, steady and safe is how I want to do it. My goal would be to have the “fake natty” look, not super huge but defined and toned.
I’d also like to mention that I’m single and still have goals of starting a family one day so I’d like to keep my balls functional and not lose fertility. However I do also believe that building my body will also help with finding a mate which is quite the paradox considering the risk of infertility with AAS.
I’ve been researching a lot of from what I understand I was thinking of taking only the Test E and HCG to hopefully help with fertility issues.
Is there anything else I need on my shopping list?
I was looking at also buying:
Nolvadex, Clomid and Aromasen, Armidex
Are those necessary? Any other thoughts and considerations?
My last questions are:
-Can I try a cycle out and go back to normal life after? People on the internet make it seem like once I try a cycle my life is altered forever and that I can’t go back to natty.
-How long of a cycle should I do? 12 weeks?
-Can I start without bloodwork if I go really light on the test dosage and monitor for sides? I feel in good health and most people think I’m 10 years younger then I am.
