I find the half life is 10-100 minutes. Say I applied one tube of 5g... how long until my levels are back to normal? I ask because my friend is in trt and rubbed one 5g on him 2 days ago while on trt and he needs to get bloods drawn and he does not want it higher than it should be. Say he put it on Monday and got bloods Friday. Would he be back to just his baseline trt?
I'm a little confused. You say 'I find the half life is 10-100 minutes'. Is this from experience or online data? If true (either way) why would you then need to ask - or are you asking for confirmation?
If you're friend is ON (not 'in') TRT then here's a thought (much like the guys asking about the military drug test DON'T use gear. However, if either of your figures (10 or 100 minutes) is correct then you already have the answer.

Androgel is testosterone no ester suspended in a cream. It will have the same half life and detection time as test suspension. It is in and out of the body very quick. That's why you need to apply it everyday.
I would stop the androgel 3 days before the blood work. In other words, if your blood work is on Friday, apply your last androgel dosage Tuesday morning.

Androgel's effects on testosterone levels will disappear in one day already, so you can do as @Muskate says - stop it for three days before the blood work, and the testosterone levels will come in at low levels.
I hate these gels. Such an annoyance to apply every day and let that shit dry, etc. It has to be applied every day due to the short half life so just give it a couple days and there will be no issue.
