Avoiding back pumps on Anavar

BigTurk

Banned
Been taking 3g of Taurine with each 20mg dose of anavar(although the first dose is with 125mg of caffeine so that enhances the active amount), so 6g per day, but can feel the back pumps slowly coming on...almost like the day after deadlifts but not quite as noticeable...more like a really dull annoying feeling...

How much taurine do you normally take to avoid the back pump issue? Should I add another 3g dose in there with my 3rd creatine dose?

Man, back pumps skipped me altogether and for the last 2 weeks I have been on the recommended (100mg) as per JD.

Bro I heard horror stories, additional taurine is what is suggested to aleviate symptoms.

Am I lucky?

OK I'm gonna ask and u might laugh but I have been reading some threads and they talk about back pumps. Are u talking like spasms? What is a back pump.

Of you are still getting back pumps, increase your dose of Taurine. It can take 5-10g for them to go away for me sometimes

Honestly, that's a Loaded Question.
It Varies so much Person to Person, but I would say Two Things.
1) Make sure that the Taurine you are taking is "Pharma-Grade", and 1,000 Mg. Per Capsule.
2) Start at 4,000 Mg a Day on a Split Dose, and go from there.
I Personally find that 4 to 5,000 Mg a Day is good for me.
Some People need to go as High as 10 Grams or More.
It all depends on the Quality of the Var and How much you are taking............................ JP

I'm taking NOW Taurine which is a fairly well respected brand...taking 3 1,000mg caps with each var dose(3g), so 6g total per day.

I'm using RS var and enhancing the first dose uptake with caffeine...not sure exactly how much its enhancing it because I don't know what type of dose dependant curve the inhibitory breakdown effect is on...at 300mg of caffeine, the active var is increased 15x normal...if it simply scales down, 125mg is likely enhancing it 6x normal or so...

Don't get me wrong its nothing painful yet, but each day I've felt it a little more...

No not yet at least...its kind of a dull, annoying slight tightness/discomfort in the lower back...kind of like what you'd feel if you overdid it on deadlifts the day before but not as bad...

OK well then I have felt those before. They are not comfortable at all. Like you want to try to stretch but u can't?

Mine get so bad I can't finish workouts, can barely walk, and even sitting in the car driving home is an impossible task. I knew I would need taurine but didn't imagine the pump could get so fucking ungodly awful.

Back pumps are cramp-like pain during training in the lower back muscles (erector spinae). Many steroids increase RBC count drastically and this increases overall blood volume, blood pressure etc.

Basically it is caused by increased blood flow to the area when exercising, which can lead to pain in the area. I personally have experienced them and it has to do with the fact that vasodilation isn't very common in that part of the body, which has a lot of nerves and pain receptors along the spine. That increased volume of blood in those muscles creates that "unnatural" feeling that puts a lot of pressure on the spine. It's like calf pumps after doing a crazy set of calf raises.. it hurts to use them afterards.

For some, back pumps can get so severe as to prevent any back training, or even cardio like running etc.

High-dosed calcium, magnesium, and taurine (especially the taurine) serve to prevent and alleviate back pumps. Some people even recommend potassium supps as well.

I have to take Serious Issue with that Statement.
You had Better check the Label again on N2Guard.
It only has 100 mg of Taurine.
That's not enough to do anything in Regards to Back Pumps, while on Anavar..................... JP

I'm taking multiple grams at a time, not mg

But I am surprised it took this long for N2G to be brought into the discussion...lol
