I was planing on getting some b12 injection ampules (1000Mcg.,ml) but im not sure how often to inject and what Mcg.,(dose) to use? Any help?? Thanks

are you deficient or do you just want to reinforce things? this makes a difference

but the cookie cutter way i recommend doing it that will work on 90% of people is 1000mcgs 2-3X per week then dropping it to 2X per week, then dropping it to 1X per week and so on and then cruise on a lower dosage

PSl sells them and they are like $4 each..

What is the purpose of B12

low B12 will run havoc on your nervous system and energy levels. specifically it helps move oxygen around the body and keeps your red blood cells count healthy.

also just because you eat a lot of meat, doesn't mean you will have proper levels.. and just because you don't eat meat, doesn't mean you will have low levels. that is what gets people into trouble. if you have gut problems like all these IIFYM guys do from eating junk food all the time, you are screwed. example is those with crohn's disease MUST inject B12 it is mandatory and it doesn't matter if they eat red meat daily

Why is it injected? Can’t it just be taken orally?

those with gut issues (a very high % like 80% or more) should inject it for maximum absorption and also supplement it daily. like i said in my earlier post just eating more foods with B12 does not fix the issue. it isn't something that people who eat meat should ignore, same with magnesium
