Blood work help and suggestions

Hello fellas,

I'm 4 weeks into a 12 week Test-E only cycle. I'm taking 500 mg per week cycle with Aromasin 12.5 mg e/o day. Things are going relatively well, especially my recovery from working out. My strength has improved, too.

I had bloodwork done yesterday. My hemoglobin, red blood cell count, hematocrit, MCV & MCH are all in the high but not abnormally high range. My sodium and CO2 were also relatively high. My test is through the roof. (I tried to upload my results, but couldn't get it to work.) Estradiol is on the low side, but abnormally low. My LH and FSH are quite low, as expected.

I've had a few side effects and wondered what, if anything, I can do.

First, I've had some occasional fatigue, despite sleeping relatively well. I've read that donating blood can help this. Any thoughts? Fact or fiction?

Also, I've noticed that my pulse sometimes races and occasionally my heart feels like it thumps really hard. I've clocked my pulse with my phone on a fairly regular basis. I'm normally around 70-80 BPM when resting, but I've had a few occasions where my heart races upwards of 130 BPM. This doesn't go on for long, but it's bothersome and frequent enough to concern me. Any thoughts on this issue? Anyone experienced this?

I appreciate your collective help.

Donating blood will lower your hemoglobin, red blood cell count and hematocrit levels. I highly recommend giving blood on your cycle.

High hematocrit is also linked to high blood pressure. Hematocrit is basically a marker of how thick your blood is. The more viscous the blood, the higher the blood pressure.

Steroids increase blood pressure. A heart rate of 130 BPM is nothing to be concerned about. Your max BPM is calculated by 226 - your age. You are far from your max BPM.

In summary, give blood. It is normal to feel slightly lethargic on a steroid cycle.

Very informative, as always. I appreciate your succinct explanations.

I got insane headached with hematocrit just below the upper normal range.
So yes donating will not only make you feel better but it can save you from a stroke. And you can save lives too

It's probably not a big deal. A resting heart rate above 100 is considered tachycardic (tachy = fast). A usual "normal" resting heart rate is around 60-100 bpm. Could just be sinus tach (normal rhythm but above 100 bpm) or could be a nonsustained supra ventricular tachy arrhythmia (SVT) or nonsustained afib (atrial fibrillation) / atrial flutter. Both of the later meaning the top chamber of heart rapidly conducts down (possibly irregularly) causing rapid heart rates. If it continues or lasts and you are symptomatic, consider going to an MD where they can hook you up to an EKG/ECG and see what exact heart rhythm you're in and / or experiencing. Just my 2 cents
