Even though I have 4 it's less being a cat or dog person etc etc but more you get to care for something, it's a major de-stressor and, as has been suggested, here we are big muscular freaks - all macho n shit with another side to us. Plus the ladies love it.

Animals can assist you in dark times and depression. It’s give you purpose and responsibility. And they funny…. I really want to get a chameleon but geckos are more social. Chameleons are more interesting but can go full on military on you, they more recluse.

I tried a while back to get my recently deceased brother to get a little dog as it would have helped with that as well as him working his knackered leg.
