I had no idea about this chemical until I started reading on forums it works to avoid hair loss caused by the use of steroids, I'm baldness pron and I would like to run some var for about 6 weeks, so I would like to know how effective is chrysin in case I start losing hair, anyone here ever used it?
I can't judge on Chrysin, but I can give you a personal referral to a product called Vichy Decros Neogenic - it works great to stop hairloss and promote the growth of new hair, and when used together with N2Shampoo the results are really amazing. I have seen it work myself, as my wife had serious issues with thyroids, and she lost quite a lot of hair. Chrysin is a bioflavonoid compound found in high levels in propolis and in honey. Chrysin is most well known for being a testosterone boosting plant compound but it is very poorly absorbed. It won't do anything for hair loss what so ever.
I have researched hair loss from steroids extensively. Using any steroid will speed up hair loss. It's inevitable. How much it speeds it up and how fast you loose your hair is dosage dependant and largely based on your genetics.
The best thing you can do for hair loss prevention is:
1. supplement with finasteride at 1mg/day
2. Daily use of a good anti-hair loss shampoo like n2shampoo from n2bm.com
3. Daily use of a rogaine (minoxidil) spray

With running var only for 6 weeks, I don't think you will have any hair loss issues to worry about. Var is a mild compound and that is a short mild cycle.
