Crazy dreams on GABA???

Hello I always take GABA before I got to sleep with Melatonin
I can sleep very good with that.
The problem is when I take it I have the craziest fucking unrealistic dream I have ever had!!!
Why does this happen and should I stop using GABA???
What are you experiences with GABA and crazy dreams???

Are you referring to gabapentin??? If so why are you being prescribed this? If not being prescribed the medication what is your reason for taking it?

Might have to do with your tolerance. The first few times I used GABA, I had vivid dreams. Same with Phenibut. But it goes away unfortunately. I use it sporadically whenever I feel I need better rest and I no longer have the vivid dreams. Even if I take extended breaks.

and I bet you wake up feeling groggy too

sleep aids are the devil, they don't help you sleep better.. they hurt your sleep !

^^ agree. Its very easy for your body to become dependent on these aids. There is no replacement for good sleep hygiene.

Easier said than done brother, from stress, bills and family to physical problems, sleeping is a bitch these days!

welcome to modern society bro.

to be honest I don't think you have it THAT bad. I mean there are kids in Africa starving to death or being skinned alive in genocide. but anyway what you need to do is change things around in your life and take sleep more serious. this means no caffeine after 2pm. be in bed at 10pm. yoga/meditation before bed. no tv or computers in your bedroom. eat a proper dinner. don't workout too late. etc etc. I bet you do atleast half of those things wrong

I agree with steve. I just had the worst week of my entire freaking life but I keep going forward because I know I have it alot better then most of the people in all the 3rd world countries.

True bro, I am not claiming I have it that bad, everyones problems are relative to their life, for example as a lifter sleeping is a huge priority, an african has other priorities. I was not born an african kid so will not live life of one.

and I agree with all your suggestion, however when you get a call from your crazy ass mom at 22:00 before going to bed and your gf is giving you shit for something irrelavant, it has its effects. but still I do agree with you very much

Sometimes we just need to be greatful for what we DO have.

Believe me man, you've got to train yourself to be a positive thinker. We've all been dealt a bad hand. We just have to make the best of it.

All of life's stressors will be reflected in the quality of your sleep. Eliminate the sources of stress that are in your control. No reason to stress over those that aren't. Nothing you can do about those. Clean up your sleep hygiene as Steve pointed out. And you'll be amazed how well you sleep.

By the way, this doesn't happen overnight.

As hard as it might seems, you've got to tune it all out. As you get older, more and more people will try to get you out of your "zone". You can add your wife, kids, in laws, neighbors. Sometimes its like everybody is out to fuck with you.

Just got to tune all that shit out.

Unfortunately this takes practice. The more that people try to derail you, the more opportunities you'll have to remain relaxed.

It'll become second nature.

By the way, I used to eat ambien like candy. No longer need it.

So I'm speaking from experience. Problems are still there. They won't go away. But I changed the way I deal with them. Overall its made me a better person. I take a moment to analyze things better when things happen. As opposed to letting my emotions control the situation.

I feel like this thread went way off base. You guys are talking about sleep aids. GABA is not a sleep aid. It just has benefits for better sleep as one of its effects. Its a good product to help try and boost GH output at night. There's nothing wrong whatsoever using this product. It is not addictive and has no side effects to speak of.

To the OP, you are probably dreaming that way because you are sleeping better and deeper

even something that is natural should be used sparingly to help you sleep. they even tell you on the bottles not to use for more than 30 days at a time and to be honest I wouldn't use them for more than a few days straight ever.

you shouldn't have to depend on anything to help you sleep, otherwise you are doing something wrong

I agree with you about the melatonin. I didn't realize the OP was also taking that at first.

Depending on any medicine is basically not good at all. As far as possible try to find the core reason and sort it out. Taking meds just mask the problem not solve it.

I notice a change in my dreams even from melatonin+valerian root and that shit is herbal.. Sometimes they are so real its fucking scary

reduction of stress is so important. everyone works so fucking hard in this country to keep up with the Jones's that they let their health go to shit in the process. if you can't dedicate an hour a day to exercise and meditation then you are fucked being stressed all day. the whole point of exercise is to relieve that stress.. that's why I love to workout after work to relieve all that shit.. plus I like to do cardio as well after a light meal...

no wonder so many people have trouble with their sleep, they spend 9 hours a day stressed out and can't even spend 1 hour a day relieving that stress
