Approved Log DHT gel for beard growth Log

IdkBruh

V.I.P.
EVO Logger
As requested, heres my log. Sorry if im not doing this right, but I am trying the best I can.

Basically, my primary goal is to improve facial hair density and coverage by directly applying DHT onto the areas in question. As you may know, DHT is the primary stimulus for facial hair growth. Of course, there are other factors, but DHT is definitely the main one.
I have gotten my testosterone levels tested before but they came back "normal." However, that doesn't necessarily correlate with DHT levels. Possible signs that I have low DHT include:
  • Poor facial and body hair density and coverage (of course)
  • Gyno or puffy nipples despite never touching steroids in my life and even still visible when having low bodyfat levels
  • Extremely thick head hair to the point where I have literally broken combs lmao (DHT actually damages scalp hair and therefore has an inverse relationship with its effects on facial hair growth)
  • Very light colored hair (of course I'm aware its mostly genetic and I'm not expecting dark black hair, but in my research it could be correlated, and I would like if it were a bit darker)
  • Generally looking younger than my age. (Again, could be genetics, but also in my research, people online with the same perceived issue who have tried supplements like DHEA and pregnenolone have actually seen positive changes in this regard, but DHEA and pregnenolone come with the risks of higher estrogen as well)
I have been trying a variety of methods to enhance facial hair for years now. The most popular medication for this purpose is minoxidil. However, I seem to have developed an allergy to it (hives), plus I experienced other side effects like very low blood pressure (my blood pressure is naturally a bit low as I'll list later), and heart pain. But I did get some decent beard gains from it after about 4 months of use showing some potential. After minoxidil, I experimented with a variety of different substances and methods backed somewhat by research (but only on scalp hair) and anecdotes including adenosine, copper peptides, peppermint oil, dermarolling, caffeine (topically), and stemoxydine, but with poor results. DHT gel is a last resort for me. Once I get on a DHT cycle, I may still try minoxidil again to really double down, but this time while also taking Zyrtec pills to hopefully avoid allergic reactions.

You may be now wondering if I just have poor beard genetics. Well, its not out of the realm of possibility. However, I do know that all my male family relatives do have very nice facial hair. I don't have any brothers unfortunately, but my father has good density, and my uncle on my mother's side does too. I am also a caucasian male, and caucasian males alongside Indian males are statistically more likely to have strong androgenic hair compared to other races. Admittedly however, eastern european males, which I also am, are on the slightly lesser end of this. But long story short, I at the very least think its still worth a try.
So enough of that background, where am I at right now? Well heres a quick rundown:
  • Age: early to mid 20s
  • Weight: ~180 lbs
  • Height: 5' 11"
  • Exercise routine:
    • Mostly weight and strength training
      • Currently somewhat infrequent due to school, normally, I try to workout at least 4 times a week, but currently work out maybe once or twice a week unfortunately
      • Mostly focused on chest and shoulders. But still do back and leg workouts occasionally with friends.
    • Cardio
      • I mostly get my cardio in during school and work, getting somewhere around 10,000-15,000 steps during work and 5,000 in school (I go up a lot of stairs as well, literally never take an elevator)
      • I used to run around my block. I could probably do around 2 miles before dying.
  • Diet (not a very structured one)
    • Lots of yogurt, brand depending on what I happen to have (mostly aim for healthier brands with lots of protein) and organic cheeses
    • Fruits like bananas, avocados, sometimes oranges and tomatoes
    • Sandwiches, with meat like ham, chicken turkey, organic cheese, often on ciabatta bread
    • Chicken
    • I dont eat from fastfood restaurants too often, no more than once or twice a month, and mostly from pizza places
    • Frozen pizzas pretty frequently
    • I will admit that I do eat a decent amount of sugary food every day or every other day (cookies, cake, chocolate, etc), but only because its provided for free. Regardless, I am trying to cut it down.
    • If I workout, I will drink a scoop or two of protein powder
    • Something to note is that I did go on a paleo-diet for about 3 months before, losing 20 pounds, yet with no change in gyno
    • I believe my metabolism is pretty good since im more or less in the healthy range despite not having the most perfect diet
  • Supplements
    • Vitamin B complex
    • Magnesium
    • Vitamin D with vitamin K
    • Zinc
    • Selenium
    • Enzyme Q10
    • Chromium
    • Fulvic acid
  • Steroids
    • None
  • Sleep
    • Somewhere in the range of 11-12PM to 7-8AM, about 7 to 8 hours of sleep
  • Blood pressure
    • I have had a history of hypotension, somewhere around 90/60.
    • Nowadays, I seem to have gotten it a bit up but still on the low side (100/60 to 110/70)
  • Other notable things
    • I go to the sauna sometimes with friends
    • I take the occasional cold shower, especially after the sauna
    • I have for the most part lackluster muscle growth, even after doing it consistently for 4 to 5 days a week, but thats not really my goal so for now im fine with it.
I am considering getting DHT gel from AlphaGels compounding. Hes a bit dodgy but I know of no other source, especially here in the US. He has provided me with a HPLC test though for his product (if you want to see it, I can post it here). I know a guy who has used DHT gel from another source (the source now seems to be gone since he wont reply to me?) in a 2.5% concentration with good results (in combination with minoxidil. However he has used minoxidil for years with no results until he used the gel). However the lowest concentration of DHT AlphaGels provides is low as 10%. Should I dilute it a bit or is it workable? How much would you recommend in either case for my goals? I don’t want to go overboard and fuck up my hormones too much, I just want a light supplementation so to speak, and it’s short term and will cease once I see good permanent results. I will not use any other steroids. Period. DHT gel is already far enough into the rabbit hole for me.

Let me know if you need any more information. Once I get things into motion and acquire DHT gel, I will start posting progress pictures for my facial hair and maybe for my gyno as well. But before I can start, I really need advice on how to properly cycle it, otherwise, I cant do it. Thanks!

Good luck to you with this. Post a pic of your current situation. I'll follow along but I feel this will not work as you hope.

@IdkBruh good to see you start a log, I was waiting for this.

I read your other threads before and I'm still of the view that we are guessing that you have DHT thats low, we dont know. I think the proper approach is not gels, it's to use a ligth test base with a dht steroid like primobolan.
I would consider 125mgs testosterone and 100mgs primobolan pyramid up to 250mgs test and 200mgs primo, with organ support a must.

but before we get this cycle started, we need to get some details.

I saw your training diet overall update but more details a must.
sugar foods, soy foods etc can cause estrogenic and progesterone issues
so on diet, please share meals foods and when you eat them
on training, please share exercises sets reps and weights that you do
actual diet training as you go, dont be shy here we need you to share reality for us to help you make decisions
If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.

pictures
please share pics
pics of you face blurred
pics of your meals as you eat
pics of some training
pics of your supplements you take daily

i'm gonna focus on nutrition right now cause that is an easy fruit to pick

make sure you get rid of frozen pizza and sugary foods from your diet. i get that it is free, but how about donating that free food to the homeless in town instead?

Nice start to this log it will be interesting but definitely we need to see the pictures so we can see the changes

not sure on this

Great start bro. Keep it coming. Just give us your food meal by meal and your Training

Good luck to you with this. Post a pic of your current situation. I'll follow along but I feel this will not work as you hope.
I can post a pic on day one of the cycle. I don’t really think it’s worth uploading one right now.

Of course there’s always a chance it doesn’t work but I think it’s worth a try as long as I can get info on how to cycle it properly.

I just don’t really want to use any complicated methods just yet. If I get to the point where I’m REALLY desperate and my current plan doesn’t work, then sure I may consider it.

Yes, I am trying to cut down on the sugary foods and carbs. Am I not allowed to eat any such foods while on the cycle or is it only just recommended? I have no clue since I’m still new to this.

Also, you mean I should upload a literal journal update every day on what I’ve done? I see now, I didn’t understand that at first. Problem is that I’m sort of busy with school and stuff, but I’ll see what I can do. I may start one tomorrow then.

I may upload a censored picture of my face soon. Give me a day or two. It’s not 100% barren of any hair, it’s just very very sparse, and lacks coverage on some areas.

Seems a bit daft to me. Esp the 'eatly to mid 20's'. So 21 then
No, fine, I’ll just give my actual age then. I’m just not a big fan of sharing too much personal info on the internet, but I’m 23. Considering I go to a university and see plenty of people my age and even younger, I can get a good taste of where I *should* be at, and I’m definitely subpar.

Also, like I said, I have an acquaintance who has used DHT gel and achieved good results.

Yeah, I’m working on it. But ultimately it’s not going to change all that much in terms of facial hair. It definitely would for weight training, but that’s not exactly my priority right now.
