Doing short cycles 4 weeks or less

I workout with an old timer who is in his 60’s and the steroid discussion came up unfortunately. (I hate talking steroids in public especially in a gym setting)
He was telling me that in his day they only ran short cycles 4 weeks or less even with long estered steroids. I thought it was ridiculous and argued with him. Doesn’t it take 4 or 5 weeks for a long ester to even peak in the body so how would it make sense to run a 4 week cycle lol?
 
a long ester takes weeks to reach peak levels. deca even you are looking at 8 some weeks since it has a 15 day half life!

so if you want to run steroids 4 weeks stick to orals that have half lives in the hours. not long esters that have 10-15 day half lives

Short cycles are a waste of money, it makes no sense to run them. You shut down your HPTA and you don't get the same results as longer cycles, total nonsense.
Do at least 10-12 weeks minimum for cycling.
 
EVerybody continues to miss the point on this one. I've been saying it for 20 yeras, but I'll say it again -- there is no point is using an ester that lasts for 24 hours for short cycles. You can use a long lasting ester. And the notion thta people keep parrotting that is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT INCORRECT is that it take slong esters weeks to kick in. THEY KICK IN RIGHT AWAY! That is a fact. That is science. That is reality. And any contrary thought is not another opinion, it's simply a wrong one.

That is absolutely untrue and there are thousands of examples to prove it. You may not like them. They may not even work well for you. But for most people (who do them right) they actually produce better results with fewer side effects in the long run.

The question then becomes 'do you benefit by having it peak?'.
 
Some people swear by them I personally haven’t tried them to see if it works well for me but I stick to longer cycles

Adding grams of steroids to your body during a short period of time like that WILL have some effects. It would be silly to think that adding 500-1,000 mg of steroids to your body every week somehow would not work because the esters are long. It will have some effects and will build some mass.
