Fairly New to Fitness. Looking for Advice.

Hey guys. I am fairly new to working out consistently (maybe 4 months now) and have seen some decent improvement just by lifting (4-5 days weekly), eating better and trying to hit my protein daily. While I've put on some size, I'm not happy with how lean I am. I am 5' 11'' and currently 190. I'd really like to see some improvement in my muscle definition and gain a bit more size.

I've stumbled onto these forums but really have no idea where to start. I'm not looking to jump into the deep end, but would like something to help "kick-start" my fitness/muscle-building journey.

If anyone could offer some advice on starting points, or just any advice in general, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

The attached picture is from yesterday. This is after 8 weeks of working out using apps, then 8 more weeks of using the LIIFT More program through BeachBody. I just started round 2 of that.

If you just started being consistent then you have a long way to go. Post your current diet and training.
This is a long game that takes years of consistent diet and training to achieve your goals. There is not quick way contrary to what some of the younger people believe.

I can tell by your pictures that you’re very raw

That’s a good thing because now you can start and do everything the right way. I definitely would recommend getting a log journal going and documenting your diet and your training.

@mrmikerat welcome to the big evolutionary.org aka EVO family man :) we are happy to have you here. Btw, you look really good in the picture, POWERFUL muscle base.

Being new to the community, we can help you a lot and you can start a cycle and "kick start" with steroids or sarms or anything you wish, all is possible, BUT to do that we need to learn about you.
HOW?
well you need to share with us, how? please start a NEW thread with your LOG journal diary, post your training diet supps intake and history and from that info and the log we can help you and guide you into a cycle.

some of the posters in this thread have logs you can check:
@s.gentz is a bodybuilder - https://www.evolutionary.org/forums/threads/s-gentz-2024-offseason-lean-bulk-log.98952
@stevesmi is a veteran in the game - https://www.evolutionary.org/forums...ld-more-muscle-and-my-prolong-fast-log.81856/

To really guide you we need more info, we need you to share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.

If you want us to really guide you, and we have 100s of years of experience between us, you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight,height,age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.

Please post a Log Journal asap for us

right now it is developing longer term discipline, consistency and UNDERSTANDING of the functions of diet and nutrition.. that takes many years to do and you are just getting started.. it takes years to develop a strong natural foundation and understanding of your body, how it works and what works well for YOU personally

You have a great starting point man. The key is to get diet locked in first. It will be the single most important thing to your progress. Get a solid diet plan in place and be consistent with it. Keep on training and you will see results. I would post up a log so we can guide you to any necessary changes. Be as detailed as possible.

Nice start to the log bro! What supplements are you currently taking?

When you say kick start your fitness journey are you thinking about starting a cycle?
