fenugreek benefits

can you tell me if fenugreek really helps for digestion and constipation? the guy at the vitamin shop told me it really does, but you know they tell whatever t sell you the product, thank you.

Fenugreek supplements are sold as a natural remedy for digestive problems such as loss of appetite, upset stomach, constipation, inflammation of the stomach (gastritis).

I have never personally used a fenugreek supplement so I can't comment on it's effectiveness from a personal stand point but all the reviews I read were mixed and very few were positive.

There are a few digestive supplements I really believe in to promote digestive health.

Probiotics - Take a high quality probiotic first thing every morning with a glass of lemon water before breakfast. Look for a probiotic supplement that is stored in the fridge. Remember that probiotics are a live bacteria and a product stored at room temperature will have a greatly reduced potency. A good probiotic supplement shouldn't be cheap.

Digestive enzymes - Supplement with digestive enzymes with 2-3 meals per day. In particular look for the digestive enzymes proteases and peptidases, as these enzymes split proteins into small peptides and individual amino acids.

Psyllium husk - Psyllium husk is the highest natural food source of soluble fibre you can obtain. The majority of the fibre you intake from your daily diet is insoluble fibre. The key benefit of soluble fibre is that soluble fibre absorbs water in your stomach and creates a gel. It gives your intestines a sort of 'internal scrubbing' as it passes through. It will help keep you regular and the faster you can remove toxins from your body, the less likely they are to be re-absorbed.

It may indeed help with stomach issues and constipation, but there is one important thing to keep in mind - you need to be aware of what is actually causing you trouble, and address the cause of the problem. Probiotics and digestive enzymes can be also very helpful, and they are quite cheap as well, so they might be a very convenient thing to try.

i just read a CNN article where a reporter went to Africa and spent JUST THREE DAYS eating whole foods with a tribe. his gut health instantly improved and when he went back home it instantly went back to shit.

that is scary how poor our food is in the modern world vs. if you were out in the woods catching food and gathering fruit.

to offset this simply eat healthier but also you need to get a high quality probiotic. DO NOT waste your money on any dairy derived products or shit that comes off the shelves in powders etc. you need to buy something called sach boulardii, it is an actual yeast and it works!

For gut health and issues related to digestion there are 3 things I suggest. First would be to get some psyllium husk in bulk and have 10g each day with your last meal of the day. It is pure fibre and will keep you regular. The next thing is digestive enzymes. They will really help especially with guys like us who eat a lot of protein. The other product to add is a probiotic. There are a ton out there so you need to be careful and get a good one. I would buy one that is in the fridge.

For gut promblems use natural healthy stuff. I got some kefir milk helps with the stomach lining or your probably over eating cut down your macros a bit.
