Should I use cheap fish oil or the pricy stuff? I have wal mart fish oil spring valley I think and some nice udos choice but the prices are much different UDOs choice is way more pricy.

The brand of fish oil isn't particularly important. What matters is the amount of EPA and DHA in each capsule. You are taking the fish oil for the essential omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. The amount of fish oil you take is actually irrelevant. It's the amount of EPA and DHA that matters.

Look for at least 180mg EPA and 120mg DHA per 1g fish oil capsule. Most expensive fish oils aren't better then generic fish oils. You are just paying a lot of money for the brand name. I personally get my fish oil at Costco. Each capsule contains 400mg EPA and 200mg DHA. 180 capsules was around $28.

In the end of the day, fish oil is fish oil, and many companies will take advantage of putting high prices without any real explanation for this. Therefore, the price tag is not necessarily a good indicator of one fish oil being good, and the other not so good. Just look at the ingredients and its profile - if it is good, then it is good irregardless of the price.

i wouldn't buy anything from walmart that you care about quality.. gotta be nuts to do that..

i get my krill oil from n2bm

If you want a Good Fish Oil that's less expensive than Udo's, and gives you more servings.
Carlson's Liquid Fish Oil ~ 16.9 Oz. bottle gives you 100 Servings @ 1,600 Mg per Tsp. @ $32.48 from Amazon.

If you go to Walgreen's Online, they have it for a Ridiculously Low Price of $23.99 for the same size ~ Lemon Flavored.

Shit, I'm glad I looked this up, I'm going to Order a couple bottles myself from Walgreen's............................. JP

I get the same fish oil that Muskate gets at Costco. Why not buy in bulk where you can and save a bit of money. The caps are very good quality as well. I also take Krill-TS too from N2BM. These 2 combined really keep my cholesterol in check.
