Just watched 'under construction' part 1. The guy has an interesting theory on receptor down regulation. He reckons its non existant and that in fact he has seen studies proving that the opposite is true, that after prolonged steroid use the body adapts by making more receptors therefore being able to make use of more gear.

This kunt is on 5g test, 1g tren plus orals!!

He also smashes 7000 to 10000 clean calories on the daily!

What are you guys thoughts on the topic?

I agree. I think if you push the body it has to adapt somehow. I mean...pro bodybuilders keep growing to an extent and i would have presumed their receptors tanked years ago...yet obviously havent.

I can see 'coming off' a good idea re giving the body a break / let it recover etc but im not convinced its needed to keep growing. Ive talked to people who say you need to come off to be able to grow next time your on but im pretty sure they say that because when they come off they lose size then when they get back on they gain size (so the psychological perception getting back on with a detoxed body did wonders...not realising they grew to the same size last time they were on). I still belive its about adjusting calories in accordance to your growth goals.

Brings me to another topic re calories and gear dose determining size..you hear people say "nah that mens physique pro athlete isnt on gear hes too small. Hes not the size of a bodybuilder so cant be on the gas"...not realising the physique competitor obviously does not eat for growth the same way a bodybuilder might (genetics aside of course)...anyway im kind of going off track here...
